Musoh is an original character in Echoes of Aincrad, a veteran gamer who fights with a two-handed axe. His Japanese name is ムソウ. Some earlier English material spelled it Musou, but the official English character roster uses Musoh.

Official Profile

The official profile describes Musoh as a veteran gamer who swings a two-handed axe with gusto. He has an easygoing personality and is good at lightening the party's mood, but his true intentions are hard to read. His lines on the official roster match that picture: in one he tells the party not to bother with politeness now that they are friends, and in another he puts his faith in an old hand's instincts.

A Note on the Pre-Launch Description

The July 1, 2026 character introduction described a two-handed axe user only in these terms, and its text did not name him. It was easy to read the description as belonging to Agil, the other two-handed axe user on the official roster. The official profile pages settle it: the easygoing veteran gamer with unclear intentions is Musoh. Agil's own profile is quite different and describes a calm, reliable axeman.

Role in the Game

The official profile gives Musoh a weapon type but does not say whether he can be selected as a partner, and he does not appear in the partner roster on the NPC Companions page.

The Ver. 1.0.6 patch notes of September 25, 2026 add one concrete detail. Among the Support Skill adjustments they list Musoh's Protection: its duration was adjusted, and it can no longer be recast while a barrier is active, which suggests the skill grants one. Support Skills are the ability each partner brings to a quest, so the entry suggests Musoh fights alongside the player as a partner at some point. The notes do not say how or when he joins.
