Dokebi

Dokebi are spirit-like entities that appear in traditional Korean folktales. In DokeV's fiction they gain powers from people's dreams, which is why finding, befriending, and empowering them is the heart of the game.

Variety

DokeV's Dokebi are deliberately stylistically varied. Pearl Abyss has shown creatures ranging from big robotic-looking animals to anthropomorphized dogs and even anthropomorphized alarm clocks. The fiction pulls from Korean folklore, but the visual design is modern, cartoonish, and k-pop-aesthetic.

Role in Combat

In the game's combat system the Dokebi fight at the player's side. They are not a passive inventory; they are active party members, with their own moves and roles. Coordinating with them is central to every fight.
