Divinity

Divinity is an upcoming role-playing game from Larian Studios, the Belgian developer behind Baldur's Gate 3 and the Divinity: Original Sin series. Revealed at The Game Awards on December 11, 2025, it marks a return to Rivellon, the high-fantasy world where the studio's earliest Divinity titles were set. Larian has described it as the most ambitious and largest project in its history, larger in scope and scale than Baldur's Gate 3. The reveal teaser leaned hard into dark fantasy, opening on a village festival that collapses into a horrifying ritual and hinting at themes of sacrifice, corruption, and divine power. Larian has positioned the game as a fresh entry point that does not require having played earlier Divinity titles, while leaving connective tissue and continuity for longtime fans of the series. Built around a new custom ruleset of its own rather than licensed tabletop rules, Divinity is planned for PC, and Larian has confirmed that cooperative multiplayer will be available at release alongside single-player, with the co-op player count tied to the final party size. As of early 2026, around 500 developers were working on the project. No release window or final platform list has been confirmed. Larian plans a paid early access phase, as it did for its past games, and has said it is not expected to begin in 2026.
