Added quest route, choices and reward conditions
Shadows in the Woods follows Mert's lead to Sara and the Manumits. Rescuing her opens Coen's first meeting with Crake and Drogos.
Detail | Requirement |
|---|---|
Start | Speak to Mert at Stoneward Post during The Firebrand. If the four-day deadline passed, Compel Soul on his corpse can recover the lead. |
Starting route | Cross the bridge near Stoneward Post and continue southeast into the woods. |
Listed time | 0 segments. |
Stage | Route |
|---|---|
Find Sara | Search the ruined cabin near the crossroads for the soldiers holding her. |
Free her | Defeat the guards or pay 100 Denarii for her release. Both let the quest continue. |
Explain the visit | Tell Sara that Mert sent Coen and that he wants to join the Manumits. Feeding on her instead fails this route. |
Follow the contact | Travel with Sara through the woods and into Boar's Back. Speak with her at the overlook. |
Meet the rebels | After Coen is knocked out, answer Crake's interrogation. Crake tells him to build his reputation against Brencis before meeting the group again in Svartrau. |
Mert does not have to survive for the lead to exist, but Sara must remain available to guide Coen. Continuing the rebel chain leads toward Where Loyalty Lies.
1,000 XP and 1 skill point.
