Silver Trader
One trader in Svartrau buys silver. Access can be opened through Into the Den or by reaching Infamy rank 4, Notorious. For the quest route, defeat the Ravenous Bear north of Laslea Glen, loot the victim's letter and follow it to the hidden stash under a flat stone near the house. The stash contains information about the Silver Trader.
Find his house in Svartrau and choose the dialogue about knowing he trades in silver. Keep him alive: if he dies, silver can no longer be sold that run. Smuggler requires earning a cumulative 1,000 denarii from selling silver, so a dead trader can also block that achievement.
Selling trade goods
Junk and Superior Valuable items share the Trade Goods inventory tab but are separate classifications. Sell All Junk clears only items labelled Junk. Sell higher-value goods individually after checking their classification. Selling surplus gear and Junk earns denarii while reducing inventory weight.
Merchants have a limited supply of denarii. If a buyer cannot afford the remaining Junk and weight is a problem, Destroy Item removes it from the inventory. Items specifically classified as Junk have no documented crafting or upgrade use; destroying them gives up their sale value.
Buyback and equipment presets
Update 1.1 on Steam adds merchant Buyback and hides equipped goods from the selling list. It also allows the same item in both day and night equipment presets and rebalances upgrade costs. Console rollout dates remain unconfirmed.
Storage and carry weight
Overencumbrance prevents running and Fast Travel. Store equipment or other useful items at an activated shrine when they may be needed later. Sell unwanted goods for denarii when a merchant can afford them; Destroy Item is the immediate option when neither a buyer nor storage is nearby.
Fishmonger and Selfish
The Fishmonger is among the food vendors in the northwestern market area of Svartrau. Selling any fish to this vendor awards Selfish. If no fish is carried, buying one from the Fishmonger and selling it back also meets the condition.
