Added quest route, time costs and completion rewards
Echoes of Silenced Bells takes Anca and Coen through the haunted convent at St. Tyna's Grove to recover forbidden books. The bell signals change where the undead nuns gather, making the route to the library a puzzle rather than a simple fight.
Detail | Requirement |
|---|---|
Start | Meet Anca at the ruined Crossroads Inn after Smoke and Ashes. |
Listed time | 6-8 segments; meeting her and passing through the fog each cost one. |
Goal | Create a safe library route, then search its catacombs. |
Stage | What to do |
|---|---|
Reach the convent | Escort Anca through the fog, examining highlighted points of interest along the way. The nun at the gates rises again after the first encounter, prompting the retreat. |
Survey from the refectory | Follow Anca to the balcony and inspect the infirmary, bell tower and chapel routes. |
Find the keys | Collect Monastery Keys from the wall of the small hut near the church. They open most convent buildings, with the infirmary as an exception. |
Read the bell instructions | Find Campana Loquitur in the building near the sacristy, then climb the bell tower. Nighttime Shadowstep also reaches it through the opening at the top. |
Ring the church signal | This draws the nuns into the chapel. Open the library with the keys, then return to Anca and continue together. |
Search the catacombs | Inspect the library shelves for manuals and follow the route into the catacombs. Clear the undead there and defeat Leonica at the end. |
Decide on the notes | Give the notes to Anca for a one-segment ritual, or burn them to prevent it. |
Other signals produce different results: the infirmary signal sends the nuns against the soldiers and leaves the library occupied; the dormitory signal still leaves nuns near the library entrance. Speak to the infirmary soldiers about Most Precious Thing before using signals that could kill them.
Giving Anca the notes clears the immediate post-quest route through the grove, while burning them leaves the nuns roaming. The epilogue gives the ritual a further consequence, describing the lifted fog as freeing the nuns from confinement. Between the Words continues the recovered-book investigation afterward.
