Between the Words examines the forbidden books recovered with Anca from St. Tyna's Convent. A seemingly blank volume provides the lead to Saint Mihai's burial and Albertus.
Requirements and time
Detail | Requirement |
|---|---|
Start | Meet Anca at Crossroads Inn after Echoes of Silenced Bells. |
Travel | Going with her immediately costs 2 segments; meeting her there independently avoids that escort cost. |
Study | 1 segment to browse the books. An optional drink adds 1. |
Route
Stage | What to do |
|---|---|
Optional drink | When Anca mentions thirst, use the pot and herbs on the south side of the inn. Return with the warm drink; choosing It's my pleasure adds a personal exchange. |
Read the books | Examine the books on the table until Coen finds Sancti Mihai Historia Vera. Its apparently blank pages interest Anca. |
Reveal the writing | Bring her the book and move the candle beneath its pages. Heat reveals the invisible ink. |
Follow the lead | Read about Mihai's magical sword and burial, then speak with Anca about Albertus. |
The conversation finishes this quest and points toward A Monk and a Saint. Anca's personal story continues through Where Old Devils Lie. The optional drink and immediate travel are separate costs, so the listed total varies from one to four segments.
