Added quest route, time costs and completion rewards
Distant Shadows sends Coen to observe Ascar for Crake. Being seen by Ascar changes the route without failing the quest; being detected by Brencis's soldiers is a separate danger.

Find the viewpoint | Go to Ascar's hut and use the marked viewpoint on its right to look inside. Follow when he leaves. |
Keep cover | Use the cart, barrels, rocks and haystack to remain unseen. Focus Mode reveals optional clues, including the beehives. |
If Ascar sees Coen | Speak with him about Marat, then return to the hideout. This skips the later trap-following and soldier scene. |
If Coen stays hidden | Follow Ascar's animal traps to find him again. When soldiers confront him, intervene and fight or remain hidden. |
Report | Return to Crake. He reacts angrily if Coen admits being spotted, but the quest can still complete. |
The next quest is A Closer Look. After Crake leaves the hideout, speak with Drogos if you want to follow him; that conversation starts a separate one-day deadline.
