A Hero's End explores the ancient ruins beneath Father Florin's hideout. Its main reward is Ancient Hero's Armor, with The Hand of Fate available through an optional locked container.
Starting the quest

Walkthrough
Stage | What to do |

Prepare the optional key | In the Cathedral Treasury, move the bookshelf, descend the hidden ladder and take the Stone Key from the lower chamber's ledge. It is not required to finish the quest. |
Enter the ruins | Open the nearby door with the Ancient Key. Search near the first shrine with Focus Mode for a map. |
Clear the route | Defeat the Ancient Guardian and Fallen Witch. Take the west path after the witch; east returns toward the earlier area. Descend toward the glowing final chamber. |
Optional weapon | Before the final boss, find the stone container guarded by Kobolds. The Stone Key opens it for The Hand of Fate, a Legendary Shortsword. |
Defeat Rigoz | Fight the Betrayed Hero while managing the weaker undead around him. Strike him when he retreats to heal to interrupt his recovery. |
Leave | Loot the tomb behind Rigoz for Ancient Hero's Armor. Squeeze through the gap and take the Simple Key from the body beyond it to open the exit shortcut. |
If Florin is alive and allied, report back after the trial. If he is dead, leaving the ruins completes the quest. His death does not remove the Ancient Key from this route.
