The White Bear is a legendary bear mount introduced in Patch 1.01.00 of Crimson Desert. It is widely regarded as the best combat mount in the game, boasting massive stats of 1,500 HP and 180 Attack. The White Bear is one of three legendary animal mounts added in the patch, alongside the Silver Fang and Snowwhite Deer. Two boss-obtained mounts, the Rock Tusk Warthog and Icicle Edge Alpine Ibex, complete the legendary mount roster.
The White Bear is a premium battle tank. Its enormous HP pool lets it absorb tremendous punishment, while its 180 Attack stat allows it to deal devastating damage. It has multiple attack patterns including an AoE stun roar and its own equivalent of a turning slash. When dismounted, the bear automatically fights nearby enemies and handles being surrounded well. In the early game, the White Bear can practically solo bosses on its own due to its raw power. The trade-off is speed: it is the slowest of all five legendary mounts in straight-line movement, making it a poor choice for long-distance travel.
The White Bear has the highest HP and Attack of any legendary mount. Its stats are fixed and do not level up.
Stat | Value |

The White Bear is the easiest of the three legendary animal mounts to obtain, requiring no quest prerequisites. It can be found and defeated as soon as you have access to the northwestern part of the map and a Witch who crafts abyss gear.
The White Bear is located in the northwest part of the world map, west of Silver Wolf Mountain and just south of the White Waste Sanctuary. It spawns near two bear cubs. The bear is not inherently aggressive but will fight back when attacked.
Travel to the northwest corner of the map, west of Silver Wolf Mountain and just south of White Waste Sanctuary.
Locate the White Bear, which will be near two bear cubs.
Defeat the White Bear in combat. Fire damage is effective against legendary animals.
Skin the defeated White Bear to obtain the Claws of the White Bear.
Take the Claws of the White Bear to any Witch that crafts abyss gear.
Navigate to Special Items in the crafting interface.
Craft the Sigil of Solidarity for the White Bear.
Use the Sigil of Solidarity from your inventory to permanently register the White Bear as a summonable mount.
If you killed the White Bear before the patch that introduced permanent legendary mounts, the Claws of the White Bear will be automatically added to your inventory when you launch the game.
The White Bear has the richest combat kit of any mount in the game. Its abilities include:
Multiple Melee Attacks: The bear has several attack patterns that the rider can trigger, including its own equivalent of a turning slash. These deal heavy damage and can hit multiple enemies in a wide arc.
AoE Stun Roar: The bear unleashes a powerful roar that stuns all enemies in the surrounding area. This is invaluable when surrounded, giving the player time to reposition or land free hits on stunned targets.
Autonomous Combat: When the player dismounts, the White Bear automatically engages nearby enemies. It handles being surrounded well, using its attacks independently. This makes it an extremely effective combat companion.
Standard Jump: The bear's jump is functional but nothing special. It clears basic obstacles but lacks the bounding agility of the Snowwhite Deer or the Icicle Edge Alpine Ibex.
With 180 Attack, the White Bear can practically kill bosses on its own during the early game. Pair it with Healing Force Palm to keep the bear topped up during extended fights. This combination allows the player to let the bear tank and deal damage while the player supports with healing and ranged attacks.
Strengths:
Highest HP of any mount at 1,500; can absorb enormous amounts of damage
Highest Attack at 180; capable of killing early-game bosses practically solo
AoE stun roar provides crowd control against groups of enemies
Autonomous combat when dismounted; handles being surrounded effectively
Multiple attack patterns give versatile offensive options while mounted
Permanent summonable mount; available anywhere at any time
Weaknesses:
Slowest of all five legendary mounts in straight-line speed; terrible for long-distance travel
Only 180 Stamina limits extended sprinting
Jump is merely adequate; poor at navigating complex terrain compared to deer or ibex
Large hitbox can make it unwieldy in tight spaces
Overkill for basic encounters; a faster mount is more practical for everyday exploration
Mounts - Overview of all mount types
Silver Fang - Legendary wolf mount; combat companion with modest stats
Snowwhite Deer - Legendary deer mount; agility and terrain crossing
Rock Tusk Warthog - Legendary warthog mount; battering ram with fast burst charges
Icicle Edge Alpine Ibex - Legendary ibex mount; best non-horse travel mount
Force Palm - Healing skill useful for keeping mounts alive in combat
Combat System - Combat mechanics overview
The White Bear is one of the easiest legendary mounts to pick up because the fight that unlocks it sits alone in the far north of the map with no quest chain gating it. The mount is far slower than any horse, but it hits hard, survives punishment, and follows you into combat. Players use it as a tanky travel option and as a crowd control tool for other mount hunts, since it can kill the legendary wolf Blackfang in two or three hits.
Create a manual save at the closest fast travel point to the spawn. The White Bear always appears with cubs, and the cubs can accidentally aggro nearby hostiles that drag you into a second fight before you have finished skinning.
Engage the adult White Bear alone. After it goes down, skin the carcass to receive the White Bear claws. Several players report killing the bear without skinning it and having to repeat the whole trip after realizing the claws never dropped. If you walked away last time without the claws, respawn the bear by fast travelling far enough and returning.
Take the claws to any witch vendor. The earliest witch most players unlock is located in the Witch Woods near Heidel, and she is often the quickest stop. Open her workshop, select Craft Abyssal Gear, and spend the claws on the Sigil of Solidarity for the White Bear. Use the sigil from your inventory to register the mount, then scroll through the mount wheel to swap from your horse to the bear.
