Overview
The Reckoning is a spear in Crimson Desert. It features the Lightning God's Affliction special gear, which calls down lightning upon a successful parry. This makes The Reckoning one of the most powerful defensive-offensive weapons in the game, rewarding skilled parry timing with devastating counterattacks. The weapon is earned at the end of a lengthy questline centered on the Heilong region, and the boss fight to obtain it is widely considered one of the best encounters in the game. Completing this quest also awards the Lightning Bolt Plate Armor.

How to Obtain
Obtaining The Reckoning requires completing a series of regional quests in and around Heilong, followed by two climactic quests and a boss fight. The chain begins after reaching a certain point in the main story.
Reach Chapter 8 in the main quest. This unlocks the Heilong region.
Complete all 15 Heilong Militia quests.
Complete 3 Skug Horn Tribe quests.
Complete 10 Longleaf quests.
Return to Heilong. New quests will be available.
Complete "Where Lightning Strikes" by defeating the Jackal Captain.
Complete "Ancient Barrier". You must fix 5 ancient lightning devices. Each device needs to be pointed toward the one to its left, then activated by pressing the buttons on its sides. One device is stuck in ice and must be freed with Force Palm. Important: Come during daytime. The devices do not function at night.
Jump into the center to initiate the final boss fight: Master of Thunder: The Fallen God.
Defeat the boss to receive The Reckoning and the Lightning Bolt Plate Armor.
Boss Fight: Master of Thunder
The Master of Thunder is widely regarded as one of the best boss fights in Crimson Desert. The encounter features multiple phases and powerful lightning-based attacks. A key piece of advice for this fight: when you think it is over, it is not. The boss has at least one additional phase after what appears to be the final blow, so stay alert and keep healing items in reserve for the surprise continuation.
Tips
Lightning God's Affliction synergizes perfectly with a parry-focused playstyle. Practice your parry timing before attempting this fight to make the most of the gear once you have it.
For the Ancient Barrier quest, arrive during the daytime. The lightning devices will not respond if you attempt them at night.
The frozen device requires Force Palm to break the ice. Make sure you have this ability unlocked before starting the quest.
Stock up on healing items before the boss fight. The Master of Thunder hits extremely hard in its later phases.
