The Counterattack is the final quest of the "Blazing Beacon" sub-chapter in Chapter 6 of Crimson Desert. With the watchtower disabled, Kliff arrives at a field strewn with fallen Calphadean banners. To restore the army's shattered morale, you raise the banners once more and march into battle. This quest introduces the banner pike mechanic that recurs throughout Chapter 6.
Note: a similarly named quest exists in Chapter 7 with different objectives. This article covers the Chapter 6 version.
Travel to the marked soldier camp where a scout on horseback is waiting. Mount your horse and follow the guard as he leads you to the battlefield.
Find the red banner lying on the ground at the battlefield. Use Nature's Grasp (Triangle + Circle on PlayStation; Y + B on Xbox) to lift the banner. Carry it up the wooden stairs to a platform and place it in the slot using L1 + Square (PlayStation) or LB + X (Xbox).
Important: Nature's Grasp has an energy meter. If it depletes while carrying the banner, you will drop it and need to pick it up again. Move steadily and do not waste energy on unnecessary actions while holding the banner.
This quest serves as a tutorial for the banner pike system that Chapter 6 uses repeatedly. In the following quests, you will need to raise multiple banners across different locations to push the frontlines forward. The basic loop is always the same: pick up the banner with Nature's Grasp, carry it to the platform, and plant it in the slot.
If you drop the banner, do not panic. Walk back and pick it up again. There is no timer.
The Nature's Grasp energy bar depletes faster if you are using it for other purposes. Focus solely on carrying the banner when you have it in hand.
Enemies will attack while you carry the banner. You can drop it, fight, and then pick it up again, or try to power through while allies cover you.
