Overview

Stormtalon Ridge is a jagged mountain formation in the Hernand region that serves as a natural fortress for Calphade. Along with the Argent Peaks, the ridge restricts potential routes for anyone seeking to intrude from outside the region. The mountain earned its name from its ridgelines, which appear jagged and torn as if mauled by massive claws.

Location

Stormtalon Ridge is positioned in the Hernand region, forming part of the natural barrier that protects Calphade. The ridge works in conjunction with the Argent Peaks to create a defensive bottleneck, channeling any approaching force through limited routes that are easy to monitor and defend.

• Sealed Abyss Artifact : A Sealed Abyss Artifact is located across the river from Stormtalon Ridge. The associated challenge requires defeating 10 One-Eyed Jackals while wearing the Black Bears' Leather Helm.

• Abyss Cresset : An Abyss Cresset fast travel point is located in the Stormtalon Ridge area, requiring a puzzle to unlock.

Strategic Significance

Together with the Argent Peaks, Stormtalon Ridge forms the backbone of Calphade's natural defenses. The jagged, impassable terrain funnels all overland travel through narrow passes, making the ridge a critical strategic asset. • Cross the river from Stormtalon Ridge to find a Sealed Abyss Artifact. You will need the Black Bears' Leather Helm and must defeat 10 One-Eyed Jackals to complete the associated challenge.

• Solve the Abyss Cresset puzzle in the area to unlock a permanent fast travel point.
