Overview

Smiting Strike Expertise is an advanced melee technique for Damiane in the Stamina Skill Tree. After executing Smiting Strike, holding R1 + R2 performs two additional strikes. This effectively triples the damage potential of a single Smiting Strike sequence, making it one of Damiane's most powerful burst combos.

How to Unlock

Upgrade Smiting Strike to Level 2 by spending 1 Abyss Artifact.

Combat Tips

• The two additional strikes deal significant damage, so hold the button rather than tapping for maximum effect.

• Pairs well with Smiting Strike Proficiency for chaining into the full three-hit combo from other skills.

• At Level 3, Smiting Strike Rend Armor makes the entire combo ignore Super Armor.

Three-Hit Chain

Smiting Strike normally ends in a single powerful spear slam. With Expertise applied, holding R1 + R2 after the initial slam triggers two additional strikes in the same sequence. The additional strikes are landed automatically; you only need to keep the input held for the full animation to play out.

Each of the two follow-up strikes deals comparable damage to the initial slam, which approximately triples the total output of a single Smiting Strike cast. Because the additional strikes stay locked into the same animation, Damiane is committed for the duration; use it on staggered enemies or immediately after a stun to avoid getting interrupted during the sequence.
