Overview

The Note with a Suspicious Symbol is a key item in Crimson Desert described as an "Outlaw's Token." It drops from bounty targets after you apprehend or kill them while completing House Celeste bounty contracts. Because the item sits in your inventory after the bounty is already complete, many players wonder whether it serves any additional purpose or if it is safe to sell.

Should You Sell It?

Yes. The Note with a Suspicious Symbol has no further use once the associated bounty has been collected. It does not trigger any hidden quests, unlock any special interactions, or serve as a crafting ingredient. Keeping it in your inventory only takes up space.

Where It Comes From

You receive a Note with a Suspicious Symbol each time you complete a bounty notice from House Celeste. After defeating or capturing the outlaw target and turning them in at a constabulary, the note remains in your inventory as a record of the completed bounty. Since bounty notices are repeatable and there are multiple targets across the Hernand region and beyond, you can accumulate many of these notes over the course of the game.

Consequences of Selling

• No negative consequences. Selling the note does not lock you out of any quests, dialogue options, or story branches.

• No hidden quest triggers. Despite the intriguing name and description, the note does not lead to any secret content.

• Minimal silver gain. At 10 Copper per note, the sell value is negligible. The main benefit is freeing up inventory space rather than earning money.

Recommendation

Sell every Note with a Suspicious Symbol as soon as you are done with the associated bounty. They pile up quickly if you do multiple bounty notices in a row, and there is no reason to hoard them. If you are a completionist who likes to keep one of every item, holding onto a single copy will not cause any problems, but there is no in-game benefit to doing so.
