The Pond is a Greymane Camp expansion feature in Crimson Desert added in Patch 1.08.00 on May 22, 2026. It is a dedicated camp structure that opens up additional fishing, breeding, and decorative options at the home base.
Two camps can host a Pond:
Howling Hill (the Greymane Camp home base in Hernand)
Pailune Camp
The Pond opens a dedicated management mode where fish can be released, bred, and observed. Releasing fish into the pond is the gateway to a small-scale breeding loop that lets the player accumulate and observe species at the home base without traveling to open-world fishing spots.
Legendary fish have their own special rules inside the pond:
A Legendary fish placed in the pond always remains, regardless of the number of fish present or their natural lifespan.
Only one Legendary fish can be registered to a pond.
After release into a pond, a Legendary fish can no longer be sold, used, or discarded.
The Pond is built as part of the camp expansion progression and sits alongside the storage chests, kitchen, alchemy lab, Kuku coop, and other camp facilities. Construction follows the standard camp-expansion flow: accept the construction quest line, gather required resources, and assign Dispatch Missions comrades to deliver building materials.
Beyond fishing and breeding, the Pond serves as a decorative feature for camp customization and works with the chair placement and home layout improvements that have been iterated on since Patch 1.04.00.
Patch 1.08.00 also added the Baby Wyvern pet, musket and shotgun access for Kliff, a tool slot equipment category, the option to silence tied-up outlaws, temporary mounting of subdued wild Wyverns, and 20 additional small-animal pet species. The pond is one of several camp-side additions in the patch.
