Version 1.01.01 was released on March 30, 2026, two days after the Patch 1.01.00 content update. Developed by Pearl Abyss, this hotfix targets a set of bugs that emerged following the 1.01.00 update. The patch focuses on correcting mount talisman behavior, fixing a boss encounter issue, restoring A.T.A.G. Unit destruction mechanics, and resolving several quality-of-life regressions in tempering, horse movement, and the Constellation Helm.
The internal build version for this patch is 1.000.171. The update was distributed on all platforms where Crimson Desert is available, including Steam (PC and Mac), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, the Epic Games Store, and the Mac App Store.

This hotfix addresses eight specific issues that were reported by players after the 1.01.00 update. The fixes span several gameplay systems, including mount functionality, boss encounters, mech combat, equipment tempering, and the Constellation Helm.
Fixed an issue where the Mount Talisman "Use" option was incorrectly appearing on the Damiane and Oongka NPC menus. Mount Talismans are items used to summon permanent mounts, and the "Use" interaction should only appear in the player's inventory or at specific mount-related NPCs. Following the 1.01.00 patch, which introduced five new summonable mounts, the talisman interaction erroneously extended to Damiane and Oongka, who are companion characters rather than mount vendors. This fix removes the incorrect option from both NPCs.
Fixed a bug where the Blackstar boss would remain suspended in the air after being defeated. Under certain conditions, the Blackstar's death animation failed to trigger its descent sequence, leaving the boss floating above the arena. Players who encountered this bug could not collect loot or interact with the post-fight area properly. The fix ensures that the Blackstar's defeat animation plays through to completion, returning the boss to ground level.
Fixed A.T.A.G. Unit destruction mechanics that were not functioning correctly. The A.T.A.G. (Automated Tactical Assault Gear) Units are mechanical enemies that players encounter in several zones. After the 1.01.00 update, certain destruction triggers on these units stopped responding properly, preventing players from disabling or destroying specific components during combat. This fix restores the intended behavior, allowing players to target and destroy A.T.A.G. Unit components as designed.
Restored the target selection functionality in the tempering interface. The 1.01.00 update introduced Refinement Tokens and adjusted equipment upgrade paths, but a side effect of these changes broke the ability to select a target item in the tempering window. Players reported that clicking on equipment slots in the tempering UI did not register, effectively preventing any tempering from being performed. This fix restores the ability to select equipment for tempering.
Fixed abnormal horse movement behavior that occurred when using the follow button. After the 1.01.00 update, horses would sometimes exhibit erratic pathing when the player used the follow (auto-move) feature. Horses could stutter, walk in circles, or fail to follow the intended path. This fix corrects the pathfinding logic so horses respond to the follow command properly.
Enabled sprinting while riding the White Bear mount. The White Bear was one of the five new summonable mounts added in Patch 1.01.00. While the other new mounts supported sprinting, the White Bear was missing this functionality due to an oversight. Players could ride the White Bear at normal speed but pressing the sprint input had no effect. This fix adds sprint support to the White Bear, bringing it in line with the other permanent mounts.
Fixed Constellation Helm control lock issues. The Constellation Helm is an item that allows players to view and interact with the night sky for navigation and lore purposes. After the 1.01.00 update, activating the Constellation Helm could lock the player's controls, preventing movement, camera rotation, or menu access. The only workaround was to force-close the game. This fix ensures that exiting the Constellation Helm properly releases all control inputs.
Restored equipment refinement functionality for Damiane and Oongka. Following the 1.01.00 changes to the refinement system, players were unable to refine equipment for their companion characters Damiane and Oongka. The refinement menu either did not display their gear or returned an error when attempting to process upgrades. This fix restores the ability to refine equipment for both companions.
