The Marni Laser Helm is a High Quality Plate Armor headgear piece in Crimson Desert. Designed by the genius Marni, the golden wings on either side accumulate energy to fire a destructive beam forward. Due to its exceptionally long recharge time, it must be used sparingly for decisive moments.
Beyond its defensive stats, the Marni Laser Helm is one of the few pieces of equipment in the game with an active combat ability. When assigned to the radial menu and activated, it locks onto enemies and fires explosive laser beams, making it a unique and powerful tool for opening engagements or dealing burst damage.
The helm also accepts Dye System coloring on its plate components, so it can be recolored to match the rest of an Armor set rather than locking the wearer into its default finish.

To use the Marni Laser Helm's beam attack:
Equip the helm in your headgear slot.
Open the radial/function menu (D-pad right) and assign the helmet's ability.
Activate with L2+R2 to enter a targeting phase. Boxes will appear around detected enemies.
Release to fire the laser beam at the locked-on target.
The base version fires 1 shot with an approximately 60-second cooldown between uses.
The Marni Laser Helm is found at Marni's Masterium, a fortified keep on the far southeastern side of the map in the Delesyia region. The keep sits south of Mount Benus along the coast and is heavily guarded, so expect resistance from the moment you reach the outer walls.
The fastest entry point is the eastern side of the keep. Climbing the slope on that side puts you on the upper backside of the castle near a small windmill, which sits next to the main gate at the top of the hill.
Approach the keep from the east and follow the slope up the hill until you are above the back wall of the castle.
Push toward the main gate at the top of the hill. The windmill near the gate is the landmark to aim for.
Pass through the gate, then take the first archway on the left into a small interior room.
The helm sits on a table inside that room as a glowing pickup.
The interior room is patrolled by enemies. The pickup is gated by the room itself: until the hostiles in that immediate area are dead (or pacified by other means), the helm cannot be collected. Clear the room first, then interact with the helm.
A short cutscene plays the moment the helm is picked up. There is no boss fight tied to the cutscene, but it does lock the player out of input for a few seconds, so make sure the rest of the keep is not actively pulling reinforcements before triggering it.
There is no time-of-day restriction or quest prerequisite reported in the transcript. Reaching the room and clearing the immediate enemies is the only gate.
The Marni Laser Helm can be upgraded to the Kuku Marni Laser Helm at Grimnir's Kilnden Workshop in Hernand. The Kuku version fires 3 laser shots instead of 1 and provides additional defense.

The Kuku upgrade blueprints are obtained by clearing the Sanctum of Benediction and Sanctum of Absolution.
The default Marni Laser Helm is finished in dark plate with the trademark golden Marni wing housings on either side of the head. The wing housings are the laser emitters, so they tend to read as the focal point of the silhouette regardless of the rest of the outfit.
Because the helm is a standard headgear piece in every other respect, it is fully compatible with the Dye System. The plate sections accept dye the same way other Plate Armor pieces do, so the helm can be matched to the rest of an outfit. White-painted Marni armor sets in particular pair well with the helm's gold wings.
The laser takes a moment to charge before firing. Use it to open fights or during windows where the boss is stationary.
Even if you do not plan to use the laser ability often, the Daze Immunity stat makes this a solid defensive headgear choice for fights with stun-heavy enemies.
Prioritize the Kuku upgrade if you enjoy using the laser, since tripling the shot count dramatically increases its combat value.
Clear the room before grabbing the helm. The pickup is gated by the immediate room, so do not run for it while enemies are still alive. Pulling the cutscene mid-fight wastes the i-frames you would otherwise use to dodge.
Approach from the east for the shortest route to the room. The windmill next to the main gate is the easiest landmark to navigate to.
Dye it to match your set. Because the helm accepts standard Dye System coloring, you can recolor the plate sections without losing the gold wing accents.

One detail that catches most first-time players off guard at Marni's Mastery: the helm cannot be picked up while you are flagged in combat. The area around the pickup is swarmed by hostile patrols the moment you arrive, and as long as you are in active combat with any of them, the interaction prompt does not fire.
Two viable approaches solve this:
Option one: clear the camp. Doable, but the fight scales with your level. Underleveled players will find this brutal. Bring food, your strongest weapon, and patience.
Option two: sneak through. Find an angle on the patrol patterns, slip past, get to the helm, grab it, and leave. The combat flag drops once you are out of detection range of all hostiles in the area, so the prompt unlocks as soon as the patrols lose track of you.
If you take the sneak route, position yourself so the helm is between you and the camp exit. That way, the same line you took in becomes the escape line out, and you do not have to find a second path through enemy patrols carrying a fresh combat flag.
Head south of Delicia and locate Marni's Mastery on the map. The area is in the eastern part of the region; once the location is visible on the world map, fast-travel to the nearest point and approach the camp on foot. Avoid mounting up directly into the perimeter; horses tend to trigger patrol detection faster than careful walking.
On the first scout of the location, note the position of guards relative to the helm pickup. Patrol routes are mostly predictable, so a few seconds of observation usually reveals the gap to slip through.
Beyond its defensive stats, the Marni Laser Helm is one of the few pieces of headgear in the game that doubles as an offensive ability. The lasers it fires from the wearer's head can:
Target multiple enemies simultaneously. The targeting reticle locks onto every detected enemy in the firing arc, allowing the helm to act as an area-of-effect clear option.
Operate at meaningful range. The beam reaches farther than most melee abilities, which lets the wearer open engagements from outside swing distance.
Pair with any weapon. Because it is headgear, the helm equips alongside whichever weapon loadout the build uses. A two-handed melee character can carry it for ranged opening damage; a ranged character can carry it for crowd control.
