Effect

The Kuku Insect Gatherer's Pack zips up every insect within a massive radius and deposits them straight into your inventory. According to the Rage Gaming guide, one use pulls in more insects than you could possibly need in a single session, which makes it ideal for harvesting Palmar Beetle in bulk for Refined Palmar Pill crafting. The effective area is noticeably larger than the Gardening Pack's, and the pack is the only reliable way to avoid chasing individual insects around spawn piles.

Blueprint Source

The blueprint for this pack is unlocked through the Sanctum of Absolution questline. Clearing the Sanctum of Absolution unlocks the full base family of Kuku Pack and Kuku Pop blueprints, which includes both the Kuku Gardening Pack and the Kuku Insect Gatherer's Pack. Once the blueprint is in your inventory, the pack can be crafted at a Kuku Pot.

The Kuku Insect Gatherer's Pack is crafted at a Kuku Pot once the blueprint is unlocked. The recipe leans heavily on abyss drops.

Palmar Pill Farm Combo

The Kuku Gardening Pack and Kuku Insect Gatherer's Pack are the core of the infinite Refined Palmar Pill farm. Using both packs together at the Palmar tree in Porun Village lets you gather enough Palmar Leaf and Palmar Beetle in a single visit to fuel a massive batch of pills.

Travel to Porun Village and go to the specific tree pointed out during the Porun faction quest line. A pile of Palmar leaves and Palmar beetles spawns around this tree, and picking them up one by one is extremely tedious. Pop the Kuku Gardening Pack to vacuum up every leaf in range, then pop the Kuku Insect Gatherer's Pack to scoop up every beetle. A single run yields an enormous amount of both materials.

The gather counts as theft, so wear a mask or otherwise avoid detection before triggering the packs. On top of the leaves and beetles, each Refined Palmar Pill craft also needs 1 water plus a rare reagent such as regular Wild Ginseng, a Bear Bladder from the black bears in Paloon, or certain special deer horns.

Mass-Gathering Palmer Beetles and Other Insects

The Kuku Insect Gatherer's Pack sweeps every insect in a field or clearing with a single activation, the same way the Kuku Gardening Pack handles plants. This is essential for farming Palmer Beetle in Parin Village, which is the insect component for Refined Palmer Pill.

Percent-based gathering bonuses continue to apply to insects collected through the pack, so stacking gathering buffs before a run pays off the same way it does on crops.
