The Icewing Plate Gloves are Epic-rarity gloves in Crimson Desert, part of the Icewing Plate set belonging to Gwen Kraber. Unlike the helm and chest piece, the gloves provide both Attack and Defense stats, making them an offensive-defensive hybrid piece. They arrive at refinement level 2 and are found behind a waterfall in Claggy Chasm.
A piece of armor belonging to Gwen Kraber, captain of the Wolf Trackers. She is Giath's loyal right hand, constantly seeking new prey for him. In some ways, she seems an unlikely fit among wolf trackers. Her true origins are unknown, but her skill is beyond doubt.
Stat | Base (+0) | At +2 | Max (+10) |
|---|---|---|---|
Attack | 12 | 16 | 36 |
0 | 2 | 17 |
The gloves emphasize offense over defense: Attack starts at 12 and climbs to 36, while Defense begins at 0 and reaches 17. This makes them a strong choice for builds that prioritize damage output without completely sacrificing protection.
The Icewing Plate Gloves come with two Abyss Gear sockets pre-filled:
Gear Slot | Effect | |
|---|---|---|
Socket 1 | Damage Reduction Lv 1 | Reduces incoming damage by a flat amount. Stacks with the same gear on other armor pieces. |
Socket 2 | Provides Lightning Resistance, reducing damage taken from lightning-based attacks and effects. |
The transcript source lists the gears as Damage Reduction level 1 and Lightning Resistance level 1. The database names the lightning resistance gear as "Shockward I," which is the in-game Abyss Gear that provides that resistance.
The gloves can be refined from +0 to +10 at a blacksmith. Both Attack and Defense increase with each level. Note that the materials shift from Iron Ore to Short Hair Hide and Fang at higher levels.

The Icewing Plate Gloves are found in Claggy Chasm, a waterfall cave located west of Silverwolf Mountain in the Paloon region. Silverwolf Mountain itself sits west of the E in "Paloon" on the world map. To reach Claggy Chasm, come down from the abyss puzzles situated above the cave area.
The entrance to the cave is hidden behind a waterfall. To get through, equip a melee weapon and use a stabbing thrust to pierce through the waterfall. This is a specific interaction; simply walking into the waterfall will not work. Once through, follow the tunnel to find the chest containing the Icewing Plate Gloves.
The Icewing Plate Gloves are one of five pieces in the Icewing Plate set. The other pieces are:
Icewing Plate Helm (head)
Icewing Plate Armor (chest)
Icewing Plate Boots (feet)
Icewing Plate Cloak (back)
Gwen Kraber (the original owner of this set)
Wolf Trackers (the faction Gwen leads)

Abyss Gear (gear augmentation system)
Frost Fang (spear weapon thematically paired with this set)
