The Kiln Repair at the Kilnden Workshop main quest in Chapter 4 of Crimson Desert has three kiln objectives that become available after you activate the ancient generator. Each kiln requires a different approach: one needs physical reassembly using Axiom Force, one needs five fuel orbs, and one has a disconnected power cable. You can complete them in any order.
Before you can repair the kilns, you must activate the ancient generator by speaking with Grimnir and then interacting with the pressure gauge switch. The generator has three rotating rings, each with a triangular potion symbol. Your goal is to align all three symbols with the lit symbol at the bottom.

Interact with the pressure gauge switch.
Turn the lever one click to the right to select the first ring. The symbol on the ring you are controlling lights up.
Push the right crank leftward until the potion symbol on that ring aligns with the two other symbols that are already lit at the bottom.
Activate the pressure gauge again and turn it fully right (two clicks total) to select the next ring.
Push the right crank rightward to align that ring's symbol with the others.
Repeat until all three triangular symbols line up. The generator powers on and the three kiln objectives appear on your map.
This is the simplest of the three kiln repairs. The kiln has a disconnected power cable that needs to be reconnected.
Raise your torch to spot the broken cable. Walk behind the kiln near the wooden lever. A disconnected power cable is lying on the ground at the connecting pipe.
Interact with the cable where it meets the kiln. Hold X (Square on PlayStation) to reconnect the cable. Kliff pushes it back into place automatically.
Push the wooden lever (crank) to the left to power the kiln on. It ignites and the objective completes.
This kiln has been broken into pieces that need to be reassembled using Axiom Force and Force Palm. This is the trickiest of the three objectives.
Item | Description |
|---|---|
Pick up the first piece. | Hold L3 (Left Stick) to activate Axiom Force. Grab the broken piece to the right of the kiln. It has rough, destroyed edges with a hole through it. |
Stack it on the kiln. | Lift the piece and place it on top of the kiln base. The game assists with alignment, and the piece rotates into the correct position automatically. |
Pick up the second piece (the chimney). | The chimney piece is behind the kiln. It is a flat-topped small piece with damaged edges. Use Axiom Force to grab it and stack it on top of the first piece. |
Connect the pieces with Force Palm. | Climb onto the stacked parts. Jump (Square / X) and while in midair, use Force Palm (R3 / Right Stick) to slam downward and connect both pieces together. |
Activate the kiln. | Push the wooden lever on the kiln's side to the left to power it on. |
This kiln needs five blue glowing energy orbs (fuel balls) inserted into round openings around the structure. Use Axiom Force to pick up each orb and carry it to the kiln.
Orb | Location | How to Retrieve |
|---|---|---|
1 | On the ground directly next to the kiln, beside the clay jars | Use Axiom Force (L3) to pick it up. Hard to miss. |
2 | Also on the ground near the kiln, beside the clay jars | Use Axiom Force. Sitting right next to Orb 1. |
3 | Just below the kiln near the edge of the pond/marsh floor | Use Axiom Force. Walk toward the flooded area below the kiln platform. |
4 | The eye of a large bird-shaped stone statue in the flooded pond | Stand to the side of the statue (not directly in front). Hold L3 to aim with Axiom Force, then hold L2/LT to extract the blue orb from the statue's glowing eye socket. |
5 | Inside a small cave along the shore to the left of the bird statues, past the reeds | Walk along the shoreline past the reeds. The cave mouth is small but the blue glow is visible from outside. Use Axiom Force to retrieve it. |
Once you have all five orbs, insert each one into the round openings arranged around the kiln. After all five are in place, push the wooden lever to activate the kiln.
After all three kilns are repaired and powered on, a cutscene plays. Grimnir crafts a mysterious pot. Hold the menu button to pass time, then retrieve the finished Kuku Pot using the stone circle's crank. Rotate it clockwise until the pot launches upward. Togrum explains that the Kuku Pot stores anything grabbed with Axiom Force. Press Y (Triangle on PlayStation) while holding objects to pocket them directly.

Issue | Details |
|---|---|
Fuel Orb 5 does not spawn: | The orb inside the cave occasionally fails to appear. If it is missing, try fast-traveling away from the Kilnden Workshop and returning. If that does not work, reload an earlier autosave or restart the game. This is a known bug. |
Axiom Force drops pieces: | For the dismantled kiln, get as close as possible to the broken piece before activating Axiom Force. If Kliff keeps dropping it, try approaching from a different angle. |
Bird statue orb extraction fails: | Position yourself at the side of the bird statue, not directly in front. Aim at the glowing eye from a slight angle. The extraction only works from certain positions. |
Force Palm misses: | When connecting the dismantled kiln pieces, make sure you are standing directly on top of the stacked pieces before jumping. The Force Palm needs to land on the gap between the two stacked segments. |
Complete the disconnected kiln first since it is the fastest and easiest. Save the dismantled kiln for last.
The two orbs next to the kiln are easy to overlook because they blend in with the clay jars. Look for the blue glow on the ground.
After completing all three kilns, you receive the Kuku Pot, which becomes a permanent tool for the rest of the game.
