For players on other platforms, the Frostcursed Plate Gloves (17 ATK, 5 DEF, Abyss Gear) and the Scorch Flame Plate Gloves (17 ATK, 5 DEF, Abyss Gear) offer nearly identical ATK with better DEF and bonus effects. The tradeoff is that those alternatives require exploring hidden dungeons to find them, while the Grotevant Gloves are available from the start.

Notes

• The entire Grotevant Plate set is a PS5 platform exclusive. PC and Xbox players cannot obtain these items.

• Despite having no elemental resistances, no special effects, and no Abyss Gear slots, the raw 18 ATK makes these gloves competitive with the best options in the game.

• The Grotevant set provides a solid starting loadout for PS5 players, with the Armor offering 10 DEF and the Gloves/Boots each providing 18 ATK.
