The Giant Green Iguana is an exotic temporary mount in Crimson Desert. Classified as a Ground type mount, this oversized reptile is one of the more unusual creatures you can ride in the game. Found primarily in towns and settlements within the Crimson Desert region, the Giant Green Iguana is a docile creature that can be mounted directly without any combat.

The Giant Green Iguana is best described as a novelty mount. It is slow, has no combat capabilities of its own, and cannot be stored for later use. However, it offers a unique and amusing riding experience, and riding one for the first time contributes to the Fleeting Companions section of the Knowledge Journal. For players focused on completion, the Giant Green Iguana is a required entry alongside its red variant, the Giant Red Iguana.
The Giant Green Iguana's stats are identical to most other exotic temporary mounts in the moderate-durability category:
Icon | Stat | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Health | 400 |
| Stamina | 300 |
| Attack | 25 |
| Defense | 50 |
| Speed | 1 |
| Acceleration | 1 |
| Handling | 1 |
| Jump Power | 1 |
With 400 Health and 50 Defense, the Giant Green Iguana is surprisingly durable for a novelty mount. In practice, however, its Speed of 1 means that enemies can easily outpace you, making those defensive stats more of a safety net than a combat advantage. Stats are fixed and do not improve.
Giant Green Iguanas are found in towns, settlements, and oasis areas within the Crimson Desert region. They are docile creatures that sit or wander slowly in warm, sunny areas. To ride one, simply approach it and press the mount button when the prompt appears. No combat submission or taming is required.
Because Giant Green Iguanas are found near populated areas, they are among the easiest temporary mounts to locate. Look for them basking near walls, in open courtyards, or along the edges of market squares in desert towns.
The Giant Green Iguana moves with a distinctive waddling gait that is noticeably slower than any horse or combat mount. Its low-slung body gives the rider a very different perspective compared to taller mounts, keeping you close to the ground. The iguana handles adequately on flat surfaces but struggles on steep terrain.
The Giant Green Iguana has no combat moves. While you can use your own weapons from the saddle, the iguana itself will not attack enemies. It does not panic easily in the presence of hostile creatures, which is a small advantage over more skittish mounts like deer.
Ride the Giant Green Iguana at least once to fill in its Fleeting Companions entry in the Knowledge Journal.
Do not rely on the Giant Green Iguana for serious travel or combat. It is primarily a fun diversion.
Both the Giant Green Iguana and Giant Red Iguana are separate Knowledge Journal entries, so ride both for full completion.
Giant Green Iguanas are easiest to find in the desert settlements. Check near water sources and shaded areas.
The iguana's low profile makes it harder for ranged enemies to target you compared to taller mounts.
