Add acquisition details (Velour Fisherman's Guild quest), permanent/infinite nature, usage tips
The Field Sprayer is a farming tool in Crimson Desert used to water crops at the Greymane Camp farm. Water filled at the reservoir can be sprayed wherever needed to accelerate crop growth. The tool's spray is heavily affected by wind, so it is best to stand with your back to the wind while using it.
While crops will eventually grow on their own without watering, using the Field Sprayer noticeably shortens the time between planting and harvest. Skipping watering slows growth but does not prevent it entirely. The Rainstorm Necklace provides a similar watering effect passively when it rains in-game, but the Field Sprayer works on demand regardless of weather conditions.
The Field Sprayer is awarded as a quest reward from the Vellua Fishermen's Guild. Specifically, it is the reward for completing the quest Through the Current. This quest becomes available once you unlock the Vellua Fishermen's Guild faction.
Unlocking the Vellua Fishermen's Guild requires progressing through certain faction questlines such as House Celeste and other action quests in Hernand. Completing Hernand Commissions can also unlock it. The more story progress and commissions you have completed, the sooner the guild becomes available.

Fill the Field Sprayer at a water reservoir in your camp, then spray it directly onto planted crop plots. Watered crops grow faster than unwatered ones. The spray effect is cosmetically visible as a wet sheen on the soil.
For maximum harvest efficiency, combine the Field Sprayer with the Fertilizer Sprayer. The Field Sprayer handles growth speed while the Fertilizer Sprayer increases the number of items harvested per plant (up to 5). Together, they dramatically improve the output of your camp farm.
The Field Sprayer functions as a backpack item. When equipped, players aim it like a bow and spray water onto planted crops. The water accelerates farm growth, reducing the time between planting and harvest. Rainy weather can naturally provide a similar growth benefit, but the Field Sprayer works on demand regardless of conditions. This makes it essential for players who want to run tight crop cycles without waiting for favorable weather.
Obtaining the Field Sprayer requires completing the full Velia Fisherman's Guild faction quest line in Hernand. The quest chain consists of three stages:
Beyond the Silent Waves (initial quest)
The Girl Lost in the Mist (also called Missing Girl): locate and rescue a missing girl after a woman in town asks for help
Through the Current (final quest): the Field Sprayer is awarded upon completion
This quest line only becomes available after progressing through several other faction quest chains in Hernand. Specifically, you must advance through House Roberts, House Alfonso, House Circus, and House Celeste (which includes the Rabid Hound of Hellwood and Hound's Gate quests). As these faction quests progress, locations like Velia get taken over by hostile forces. Players must defeat Sir Catfish to reclaim the town, after which the crying woman and Missing Girl quest become accessible.
The Field Sprayer is obtained by completing the quest at the Velour Fisherman's Guild. After finishing the quest, the sprayer is permanently added to your tool inventory. There is no maintenance, recharge cost, or durability to worry about; it is infinite and free to use as often as needed.
When planting seeds, apply 3 to 4 ticks of the Field Sprayer on each crop patch to maximize yield. Combined with the Fertilizer Sprayer, this can increase harvest output from 2 to 3 crops per plant to 5 to 10 or more.
The Field Sprayer can be used more frequently than the Fertilizer Sprayer. If the Fertilizer Sprayer is on cooldown, you can still continue watering crops with the Field Sprayer to maintain optimal growth. For general farming strategies and crop management, see the Farming article.
The Field Sprayer speeds up growth but does not affect yield. For more items per harvest, use the Fertilizer Sprayer as well.
Stand with your back to the wind for maximum spray coverage. The in-game wind indicator on your mini-map shows the current direction.
Priority crops to water include Wild Ginseng and Abyss Cells, since these high-value crops benefit the most from faster growth cycles.
If you have the Rainstorm Necklace equipped, rainy weather provides a free watering effect. But the Field Sprayer is still useful during dry weather or when you want to water on demand.
