Initial version (2026-03-26)
The Dekarr Hammer is a one-handed weapon in Crimson Desert. It is a compact blunt weapon with an Attack Power of 13 and a Critical Rate bonus at Lv. 1. Among early-to-mid game hammers, the Dekarr Hammer stands out because of this innate crit bonus. While the Balton Hammer also carries a crit bonus, the Dekarr Hammer belongs to a different crafting tier and requires different materials to produce.
The Dekarr name appears across multiple equipment types in Pywel, including the Dekarr Greataxe (a two-handed weapon) and the Dekarr Shield. The Dekarr Hammer is the one-handed representative of this equipment line. Like other craftable one-handed weapons, it features 3 Abyss Core slots, allowing players to customize it with passive bonuses.

The Dekarr Hammer can be crafted at any Blacksmith once you have unlocked the appropriate crafting manual. The Dekarr equipment line is unlocked through one of the higher-volume One-Handed Weapons of the World manuals (Vol. II or later). These manuals can be purchased from equipment shops in later regions or found as loot in the world.
Crafting the Dekarr Hammer requires ore-based materials commonly found through mining in Pywel's various regions. The exact material costs follow the standard pattern for craftable one-handed weapons: a combination of Iron Ore and Copper Ore or their higher-tier equivalents, depending on the manual tier. No currency is required at the Blacksmith; only raw materials.
The Dekarr Hammer starts at Refinement 0 and supports the standard refinement track at any Blacksmith. Each refinement level increases the weapon's base Attack Power. Since the hammer starts at 13 Attack, fully refining it pushes the effective damage into competitive territory for its weapon class.
With 3 Abyss Core slots and a built-in Critical Rate Lv. 1, the Dekarr Hammer benefits from cores that add Attack Speed. Hammers are naturally slower than swords, so an Attack Speed core helps close that gap. Alternatively, stacking additional Critical Rate cores creates a high-crit blunt weapon that deals devastating damage when crits land, especially against staggered targets that take bonus damage.
Hammers and maces in Crimson Desert deal blunt damage, which is particularly effective at staggering enemies and breaking through defensive guards. The Dekarr Hammer's Critical Rate bonus makes each stagger-inducing hit a potential critical strike, amplifying the punishment dealt during stagger windows.
Pair the Dekarr Hammer with a shield for a defensive setup where you block incoming attacks and then punish with a critical-boosted hammer swing. For dual-wielding, combining the Dekarr Hammer in the off-hand with a fast sword in the main hand gives you the crit chance passive while the sword handles most of the raw DPS.
Compared to the Balton Hammer, the Dekarr Hammer shares the same Attack Power of 13 and the same Critical Rate Lv. 1 bonus. The practical differences come down to acquisition method and the specific crafting manual tier required, making these two weapons functionally interchangeable for players who only have access to one crafting line.
