Push through enemy lines to reach the Blackstar weapon emplacement
Destroy the Blackstar's defensive shielding
Defeat the Blackstar boss (Ultimate Weapon encounter)
Regroup with the main allied force after the advance stalls
The Blackstar is a heavily armored weapon emplacement that fires devastating attacks across the battlefield. The fight unfolds in stages:
Approach Phase: Use environmental cover to close the distance while avoiding ranged barrages.
Shield Phase: Focus on destroying the outer shielding first. Use Axiom Force abilities to reveal vulnerable sections.
Core Phase: Target exposed weak points with your strongest attacks. Dodge the sweeping energy attacks it unleashes periodically.
Damiane's long-range skills can be especially useful during this fight for safe damage at distance.
Ballista Health Bug: A known issue exists where retrying or abandoning the Ultimate Weapon fight after depleting the Blackstar's health causes the health bar to not fully recover on the retry. This can make subsequent attempts inconsistent. Players should consider loading a manual save rather than using the retry option if the bug occurs.
Continuing from "Precise Execution," this quest picks up the storyline. Follow the quest marker to the designated location and interact with the highlighted NPC or object to advance.
Bring plenty of healing items. The Blackstar fight is lengthy and punishing.
Use environmental cover during the approach to avoid unnecessary damage from ranged attacks.
The advance stalling is a story beat, not a failure state. The quest name reflects the setback the allies face.
