Overview

Continuing Concern is a faction quest belonging to the House Roberts quest line in Crimson Desert. It is the second arc of the House Roberts chain, following Estate in Dismay and preceding Boulder from the Sky. The quest sends Kliff to Fort Perwin to confront the Crimson Nightmare, a dangerous boss shrouded in red smoke that has been terrorizing the area.

How to Unlock

To access Continuing Concern, you must first complete the entire Estate in Dismay quest chain under House Roberts Quests. After finishing that chain, some in-game time must pass before Continuing Concern becomes available on the faction quest board.

Walkthrough

Step 1: Strange Red Smoke

Visit Bluemont Manor in the City of Hernand and head to the second floor. Speak with Count Roberts in his office to learn about a strange red smoke plaguing Fort Perwin.

Step 2: The Crimson Nightmare

Travel to Fort Perwin, located southwest of the City of Hernand and south of The Witchwoods. Use Axiom Force to launch yourself over the fort's walls and enter the area. The Crimson Nightmare boss awaits inside, surrounded by a hazy red smoke.

Before engaging the boss, clear any hostile soldiers in the immediate vicinity. The Crimson Nightmare has a protective floating cube that generates orange mist around it. To create damage windows, use Focused Repulsion on the cube itself. This dissipates the orange mist and drops the cube to the ground, giving you roughly a 10-second opening to deal burst damage. Repeat this cycle until the boss is defeated.

Key Attack Patterns

• Crimson Dive: The boss launches into the air and slams into the ground. Dodge roll sideways to avoid the impact zone.

• Crushing Shot: A ground slam that sends cone-shaped projectiles outward. Jump to evade the shockwave.

Preparation Tips

• Equip the Scarlet Blades Gas Mask to prevent confusion status effects from the red smoke. This mask can be farmed from Fort Perwin enemies.

• Position the boss near watchtowers to limit knockback distance after attacks.

• Unlock Focused Repulsion by raising Focus to Level 2, which is essential for this fight.

Step 3: Veil of the Red Smoke

After defeating the Crimson Nightmare, you must clear enemies at four surrounding locations: Fort Perwin Gate, Perwin Quarry, Perwin Trading Post, and Perwin Prison Camp. Defeat all hostiles at each location until the area progress bar reaches 0%.

Step 4: Dissipated Smoke

Return to Hook Rapids, northeast of Hernand, where Count Roberts is waiting outside his tent. Report on the events at Fort Perwin to complete the quest.
