Black Bears Battle Weapons Locations

In the Hidden Fangs main quest during Chapter 6, you must find and destroy five Black Bears battle weapons scattered across the battlefield. These are round wooden tanks that fire cannonballs, and they drive around the open fields rather than staying in fixed positions.

How to Destroy Battle Weapons

Regular attacks do not take down these tanks. You need the Whistling Arrow to call in an air bombardment on each one:

1. Hold the left directional button to open the item wheel

2. Press R2 (RT on Xbox) at the bottom option to select the Whistling Arrow

3. Hold and release L2 (LT on Xbox) to fire the arrow at the tank

4. The arrow calls down an air bombardment that destroys the target

Where to Find the Tanks

All five tanks patrol the southern half and center of the red search area. None of them appear in the northern portion. Because the tanks are mobile, their exact positions shift between attempts, but their general patrol zones remain the same.

Strategy

The fastest approach is to stay on horseback the entire time. Ride in, fire a Whistling Arrow at the tank, then immediately ride away to search for the next one. Ignore the smaller enemies scattered around the fields; they are not worth fighting and will slow you down.

If you run out of Whistling Arrows, ride back to one of the friendly encampments within the search area to restock your ammunition.

Tips

• Track the quest in your journal to keep the red search area visible on the map and minimap.

• Tanks 1 and 2 are close together, so you can often destroy both without riding far between them.

• The tanks fire cannonballs at you on approach. Zigzag on horseback to avoid taking hits while lining up your shot.

• You do not need to dismount to fire the Whistling Arrow; it works from horseback.
