All 13 Constellations
April 29, 2026 at 04:33 PM
Soften the 'three are gated' claim; only the Sealed Stone constellation is publicly confirmed as quest-gated (2026-04-29)
This guide lists every constellation observation point in Crimson Desert. There are 13 total, scattered across multiple regions. Registering all of them with the Constellation Helm's Stargaze skill is the prerequisite for the Maps of the Night Unveiled follow-up quest, which leads to Where Starlight Converges and the Sword of Starlight reward added in Patch 1.04.00.
Equip the Constellation Helm and travel to the observation point.
Wait for nightfall and clear weather. Daylight and overcast skies suppress the constellation outline.
Use Stargaze to scan the sky and align the visible stars with the landmark below until the pattern locks in.
Confirm the lock; the constellation is recorded in the Constellation Research Journal.
Most of the 13 constellations are reachable through normal exploration once the helm is equipped. Some are gated behind specific faction questlines and will not appear at their points until the corresponding quest is far enough along; the Sealed Stone constellation in Kharonso is the explicitly documented example, requiring the Troll Studying Steles quest to be active. Other gating cases have not been individually documented in publicly available community guides.
# | Constellation | Region | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
1 | Shield | Demeniss | Stones of Times in the northern area. |
2 | Adventurer | Delesyia | Stonemire Ruins. |
3 | Wagon | Pailune | Circle of large stones southwest of Vat'nholl Fortress, near the Upper Nas River. |
4 | Hammer | Demeniss | Sheltering Rocks. |
5 | Woodland Spirit Owl | Pailune | Swamp of Despair. |
6 | Sealed Stone | Kharonso | Quest location during the Troll Studying Steles quest. |
7 | Ship | Delesyia | Ocean pillar south of Dewhaven. |
8 | Elephant | Delesyia | East of Yulgear Hearth, near Snaketail Wall. |
9 | Camel | Crimson Desert | Forgotten City, in the middle of three Abyss Cressets. |
10 | Goblin | Pailune | Standing stones south of the Spire of Ringing Truth. |
11 | Black Dragon | Hernand | South of the pond, west of the Spire of Insight. |
12 | Giant | Crimson Desert | East of the Spire of the Sun. |
13 | Key | Delesyia | Unmarked ruin in Horseshoe Lake, north of Bravgork Shipyard. |
Quest-gated constellations. Three of the 13 require specific faction quests to advance before the alignment will register. If a constellation refuses to render at a known point, check whether its associated quest is still active.
Group regions for efficient runs. Delesyia hosts four constellations and Pailune hosts three; planning trips by region rather than by number cuts a lot of cross-Pywel travel.
Camels and Giants live in the Crimson Desert region. Both points are near major Spires and pair well on a single desert trip.
Sealed Stone in Kharonso requires the Troll Studying Steles quest to be active. The constellation only renders during the quest's observation step.
Once all 13 are registered, the Institute questline opens Maps of the Night Unveiled, which directs the player to the Temple Pagoda south of Demeniss. The follow-up quest Where Starlight Converges must be completed as Damiane and rewards the Sword of Starlight with the Celestial Transference Abyss Gear pre-applied.
