Patches and Updates

Reworded the localisation note for the interface text changes
As of September 27, 2026, Control Resonant has received one patch: hotfix 1.3.3, released on launch day, September 24, 2026. Remedy has also set out its first post-launch plans, with a New Game++ update due in October 2026 and Photo Mode due in November 2026. This page tracks both and will list later updates as they arrive. For release dates and platforms, see Platforms and Release.
Version | Date | Summary |
|---|---|---|
1.3.3 (launch hotfix) | September 24, 2026 | Lower enemy health and Falter requirements, higher combat strength for Dylan, cheaper respeccing and clearer interface text |
Remedy deployed hotfix 1.3.3 at launch. By then a significant number of players already had the game, and the studio said it had been watching player feedback, reviews and early player data as well as playing the final game itself. It named three problems it wanted to fix: enemy health pools that felt too high, too many hits needed to Falter (stun) enemies for executions, and Dylan's combat strength feeling too weak early in the game.
Platform | Build |
|---|---|
PlayStation 5 | 01.300.300 |
Xbox Series X|S | 1.3.3.0 |
PC | 1.3.3 |
Area | Change |
|---|---|
Enemies | Lower base health and a lower required Falter (stun) level for most enemies, and for the Dancer and Deserter bosses. |
Dylan's strength | Higher maximum Aberrant Strength and maximum Ability Strength. The increases follow a curve, with progressively larger gains toward the end, so the more upgrades Dylan has, the more damage he deals. |
Respeccing | Respeccing is permanently cheaper, and every vendor stocks more Reset Items. The first Resonant boss, The Artist, now drops two Reset Items instead of one. |
Interface text (English) | The Aberrant Strength readout changes from "Multiplier X%" to "Damage and Falter X%". The Build Power description changes from "Calculated based on equipped Weapon Forms, Talents and Core Upgrades." to "From unlocked Combat Abilities, Aberrant forms/upgrades, Talents, and Core Upgrades." Remedy said other languages would follow as soon as possible. |
In the same post, Remedy pointed players who want to tune the game further, such as enemy aggression, incoming damage or how quickly Dylan recovers his abilities, to Assist Mode in the Gameplay menu of the options, noting that its sliders can also make the game harder.
Remedy keeps a known-issues page for the game in its own Help Center, titled Resonance Disruption: Known Issues and Updates, and both of its post-launch news posts point players there for the latest status. This wiki does not reproduce that list; check the Help Center for current issues and workarounds.
On September 25, 2026, the day after launch, Remedy set out its first post-launch plans. None of these updates has been released yet.
Update | Expected | What It Will Add |
|---|---|---|
New Game++ | October 2026 | The ability to start one New Game Plus run after another without erasing progress. The launch version of New Game Plus can be beaten only once more. |
Photo Mode | November 2026 | A photo mode, developed with input from virtual photographers in the community. Remedy said it held the feature back from launch to make sure the game was in the best possible shape. |
More cosmetics | Later updates, no date given | More outfit pieces for Dylan. |
In Remedy's words, "NG++ should be arriving in October" and "We expect to release Photo Mode sometime in November." As of September 27, 2026, Remedy has not announced any story expansion; the game's official FAQ describes it as a complete experience at launch.
Release dates and the full launch timeline are on Platforms and Release, the difficulty sliders on Assist Mode and repeat playthroughs on New Game Plus. New players can start with the Getting Started primer.
