September 12, 2026 at 07:14 AM
Initial version (2026-09-12)
Emily Pope is the acting Director of the Federal Bureau of Control in Control Resonant and the narrating voice of the game’s Paranatural Manhattan Trailer. She holds the agency’s top job while Jesse Faden, the Director on paper, is missing, and she works directly with Dylan Faden through the operation in Manhattan. She is a returning character, and her history before Resonant is out of scope for this page. What follows is only what Resonant itself has confirmed.
Everything below reflects what has been published as of 12 September 2026, twelve days before the digital launch.

Resonant opens with the Bureau in crisis. The lockdown at the Oldest House has failed, paranatural forces that were meant to stay sealed inside the building have spilled into the streets, and the Director who was chosen at the close of the first game is missing. Pope is the figure holding the office while that is true.
Material published before launch describes her as the agency figure steering the Manhattan operation rather than as a caretaker signature on paperwork. She works closely with Dylan in the field, which places her on the command side of the same operation that Zoe De Vera runs from the handler side. How the two roles relate to each other has not been stated.
What has not been stated is how she came to hold the post. Whether the appointment is formal, temporary, or contested, and who or what placed her in it, has not been published as of 12 September 2026.
The Paranatural Manhattan Trailer premiered at Summer Game Fest on 5 June 2026 and is narrated by Pope in her capacity as acting director of the Bureau. That makes her the voice the marketing uses to frame the borough’s condition, which is a notable choice for a character who is not the protagonist and does not hold the camera. It is also the clearest confirmed instance of her voice in Resonant material to date.
A separate story trailer published in early June 2026 confirmed that named Bureau personnel from the first game return in Resonant, and Pope was among them. That confirmation is the point from which her presence in this game is established; everything earlier belongs to a different game.
Antonia Bernath plays Emily Pope. The credit was confirmed in the fifth and final development diary, published on 10 September 2026, which introduced the game’s cast. Remedy attached an explicit spoiler warning to that diary, so character detail taken from it should be handled with that in mind.
As of 12 September 2026 the official site carries character profiles for three figures only, Dylan, Jesse and Zoe. No official character bio or portrait of Emily Pope has been published there.
Emily Pope appears in Control (2019) and has a substantial history in that game. None of it is covered here. The wiki article on this site is for Control Resonant only, so her earlier position inside the Bureau, her prior career, the scenes she appears in, the people she worked with, and anything she says or does in the first game are out of scope for this article.
Resonant’s own material establishes two things about her: she is the Bureau’s acting Director during the Manhattan crisis, and she narrates the Paranatural Manhattan Trailer. This page holds to that boundary. Remedy also published a catch-up recap of the first game on 11 September 2026, but a recap of prior events is first-game material and is not treated here as Resonant content.
Open as of 12 September 2026, twelve days before the digital launch:

Her relationship to Zoe De Vera and to the rest of the Bureau command structure during the crisis.
Where she operates from: the Field Office inside the quarantine, the Oldest House, or elsewhere.
Whether she has any direct role in Dylan’s deployment orders, or works through the handler chain.
Her end-state at the close of the campaign.
Whether an official character profile or portrait is published for her.
