Trevor Belmont is Rose Belmont's father and the second playable-era Belmont the story puts on screen. Konami's own material credits him with the Vampire Killer, the family's legendary holy whip, and identifies him as the hunter who defeated Dracula twenty-three years before Castlevania: Belmont's Curse opens. What this game does with him is unusual for the series: he is present from the first scene and then deliberately gets out of the way.

Role in the Opening
A letter from the Bishop reaches him, and he and Rose travel down the River Seine in answer to it. They arrive on the docks of a burning Paris and are separated almost immediately. Trevor goes after the clergy; Rose is left to work through the city itself, which is where the game hands control over. The places that route passes through are on Setting and Locations.
He is sceptical of the man who summoned them from the start. On the Bishop he says: "Titles, land, gold. This bishop mistakes his desires for our own."
Why He Steps Back
Trevor withdraws from the hunt early, and the team has described that as a deliberate structural choice rather than a handover. Rose is already an experienced hunter when the game begins, so the two of them are working at the same time rather than one generation replacing another. The series rarely does this, and it is the reason the opening can separate them without either character being sidelined as a beginner.
The story makes a point of the succession question in its own dialogue. The Bishop's letter, quoted in the opening, addresses him as "Trevor Belmont, last of House Belmont." A later line answers it directly: "You're not the last Belmont anymore."
The Vampire Killer
Konami's character material attributes the Vampire Killer to Trevor and describes Rose as wielding a variety of weapons in addition to her own whip. Konami's announcement material separately names the Vampire Killer among the weapons and skills Rose uses, so the whip is confirmed to be in the game. Whether the whip Rose earns in the opening hours is that whip has not been settled, and this wiki does not assert it either way. The full state of that question is on Whip and Traversal.
Family
Relation | Character | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Partner | Fought Dracula alongside him. Fell victim to Dracula's curse and died soon after Rose was born. | |
Daughter | The protagonist, and an original character created for this game. She carries the same curse in her right arm. |
In-Game Item
The Trevor Style Costume is one of the three in-game items bundled with the Midnight Edition, alongside the Sypha Style Costume and the Family's Grace Relic. It is an alternate outfit for Rose rather than a playable version of Trevor. Full contents are on Editions and Pre-Order Bonuses.
Voice Cast
Track | Performer |
|---|---|
English | JB Blanc |
Japanese | 置鮎龍太郎 |
Konami announced the English cast on August 24, 2026. The Japanese cast has been credited in kanji on the game's Japanese character page since earlier in development. The full cast is on Characters.
Not in This Game
Konami has stated there is no explicit continuity between this game and the animated adaptation, so that show's version of the character is not a guide to this one. Earlier entries in the series are not a guide either: what is recorded above is what Konami has published for Belmont's Curse and what the game's own dialogue says.
