Editions and Pre-Order Bonuses

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse ships in three forms: a digital Standard Edition, a digital Midnight Edition, and a physical Midnight Edition. Pre-orders opened on June 8, 2026. The announced release date is October 15, 2026 on every platform.

The one penny of daylight in the United Kingdom column is real rather than a rounding artifact: the Standard Edition lists at £24.99 on one storefront and £24.98 on two others. Both figures were checked on the live listings. No Nintendo eShop price has been established for any territory.

Pre-Order and Early Purchase Bonus

Pre-ordering or buying early on any edition adds the Alucard Style Costume for Rose. The physical version requires an additional download to get it. This costume is the only form Alucard takes in the game.

Physical Extras in Europe, the Middle East and Africa

Neither extra appears on any United States retail listing, which is consistent with Konami's own framing of them as regional. The participating retailers were still unannounced as of September 15, 2026.

Two extras have been announced for the physical Midnight Edition at selected retailers in that region: a SteelBook, and a premium Rose Belmont tarot card printed with exclusive artwork by Katsuya Terada, who also produced the game's key art. Konami's own wording is conditional. The participating retailers have not been announced, and Konami advises checking local retailers for availability and stock, so neither extra should be treated as guaranteed with any particular pre-order.

Japanese Retailer Bonuses

Konami has published a full retailer bonus list in Japan. They attach to the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch releases, which are the only two platforms the Japanese list covers.

Konami's standing caveats apply to all of these: promotional images are illustrative, bonus designs and contents may change, stock is limited, and pre-order timing varies from one retailer to another.

Physical Availability

The Physical Box Has a Different Name

The premium digital edition is called the Midnight Edition everywhere Konami and the digital storefronts refer to it. The United States retail box is branded Night One Edition, and its stated contents are the Midnight Edition contents plus the Alucard Style Costume.

That difference is worth understanding before choosing a version. On the digital editions the Alucard costume is a pre-order and early-purchase condition; on the physical box it is listed as part of the contents. Konami's own footnote that the physical version requires an additional download from the online store is the matching first-party wording, so the costume ships as a code or a download rather than on the disc.

Only the Midnight Edition has a physical version. The Standard Edition is digital only on every platform, which means any boxed copy is the premium SKU regardless of which name the retailer prints on it.

A physical release exists on all three console platforms. Konami's own retailer lists carry PlayStation 5, Xbox and Nintendo Switch entries for every listed retailer in the United States, and a United States retail listing for the PlayStation 5 disc is live with a barcode, a stock number and an October 15 street date. Earlier readings of this page that concluded PlayStation 5 was digital only were wrong. In Japan every listed retailer carries PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. No Xbox entry appears in the Japanese list at all.

What Is Not Included

A downloadable Demo has been available since October 1, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S and Steam. It covers the opening chapter and lets players carry their save into the full game on the same platform and account. The earlier gamescom, PAX West and Tokyo Game Show appearances were event-floor sessions.

No downloadable content, season pass or post-launch purchase is listed on any storefront. The producer addressed future plans directly at the end of August 2026 and said there was nothing concrete to share yet, while adding that the team did not want the gap before the next entry to be another decade. That is a statement about the series rather than an announcement for this game.

There is no season pass, no battle pass, no in-game currency and no announced downloadable content. The game is a one-time purchase and is single-player only. Konami has described the game as the first of its 40th-anniversary projects for the series, which is a statement about future Castlevania releases rather than about post-launch content for this one.
