Revision 1

Sypha Belnades is Rose Belmont's mother in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse. She fought beside Trevor Belmont against Count Dracula twenty-three years before the game opens. Dracula's curse affected her, and she died soon after Rose was born.

Rose and the Tarot Deck

Her death left a lasting mark on Trevor and Rose. Rose carries the tarot deck she inherited from Sypha, using it to hold the Arcana gained from defeated bosses. The story presents Rose's guilt over her mother's death alongside the curse in her right arm.

Voice and Costume

Sypha is voiced by Alejandra Reynoso in English and 下山田綾華 in Japanese. The Sypha Style Costume for Rose is included in the Midnight Edition; it is an outfit rather than a playable Sypha character. See Editions and Pre-Order Bonuses and Characters for the complete cast.
