The Capital

The Capital is the final destination of Emma and Koo's journey in Beast of Reincarnation. The pair travel from the eastern countryside toward it, pursuing the titular Beast of Reincarnation at the end of the Blight's corruption.

Modelled on the Kanto to Kyoto Route

Director Kota Furushima has said the team chose Japan specifically to build the journey around the real historical trek from the Kanto region to Kyoto. The Capital sits at the end of that route and functions as the game's story endpoint rather than as an open-world hub.

Story Role

The journey is segmented rather than open-world, with set-piece encounters and major Nushi bosses along the way. The Capital is the payoff, where Emma's role as a Sealer and the nature of the Blight come to a head.
