Alongside the ninety-four entries in the public creature index, the studio maintains a separate category it calls Special Aniimo, and within that a Legendary tier. These creatures are not caught the way ordinary Aniimo are, and several of them have no index entry at all.
The Named Special Aniimo
The studio published this list when explaining which creatures were excluded from the closed beta's egg-sealing event. The list was left open-ended, so it is what has been named rather than a complete roster.
Aniimo | Index Entry | Element | Role | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Helion | No. 9998 | Holy | DPS |
Lunara | Not in the index | Not published | Not published | |
Irisalis | Not in the index | Not published | Not published | |
Fulmintis | No. 044 | Electric | DPS |
Dazmand | No. 038 | Electric | Support |
Besauce | No. 083 | Electric | Energy |
Somniwing | No. 031 | Wind / Grass | Energy |
Two things stand out. Lunara and Irisalis are officially named creatures with no published element, dex number, Form or appearance data anywhere, so nothing beyond their names should be treated as known. And the other five are ordinary index entries that also carry Special status, which means Special is a designation layered on top of the index rather than a separate roster.
Fennelun sits at No. 9997 next to Helion, filed outside the main numbering in the same way, and both are the only two Holy-element entries in the whole index.
The Gap at 013
The index runs 001 to 093 with one number missing: there is no entry 013. The sequence around it runs Iris at 011 and Irisal at 012, which are a two-stage evolution line. Irisalis shares that naming pattern and has no number. That is a suggestive coincidence and nothing more, and this wiki does not assert it as fact.
Catching a Legendary
The launch build replaced the way Legendary Aniimo are obtained. The studio said the old approach was an entry fee plus repeated throws and pure luck, and that it did not fit the weight the encounter was meant to carry. Irisalis was rebuilt first, and the studio stated that the new structure is the template for every Legendary Aniimo encounter that follows.
Stage | What Happens | |
|---|---|---|
Legendary tokens | Collected through world exploration and story progress, folded into everyday exploring and catching rather than gated behind a separate activity. |
Legendary Aniipod | Crafted by the player from those tokens. It is personal to that Pathfinder. | |
Exclusive story | Unlocked once the Aniipod is made, opening the creature's own story content. | |
The encounter | An exclusive encounter appears on the map. Enter the battle, follow the story through, defeat the creature, and throw the Aniipod you built to seal the bond. |
The encounter is one-time. There is no repeat attempt, which is the design point: a Legendary is a story beat rather than a farm.
What Is Not Known
No drop rate, token count, level requirement, or story length has been published for any Legendary encounter. Neither has any element, appearance or stat data for Lunara or Irisalis. The category is confirmed and its structure is confirmed; the numbers are not.
