Legendary Aniimo

Alongside the 86 Basic Form entries in the public creature index, the studio maintains a separate category it calls Special Aniimo, and within that a Legendary tier. Most of them are filed outside the main dex numbering, and they are not caught the way ordinary Aniimo are.

The Named Special Aniimo

The studio published this list when explaining which creatures were excluded from the closed beta's egg-sealing event. The list was left open-ended, so it is what has been named rather than a complete roster.

Two things stand out. Lunara and Irisalis used to be names with nothing attached; the launch rebuild gave both of them entries, Lunara with a full stat line, trait and skill set and Irisalis as a standalone Prismana Form. And every creature on the list is an index entry that also carries Special status, which means Special is a designation layered on top of the index rather than a separate roster.

Fennelun sat at No. 9997 next to Helion before launch, filed outside the main numbering in the same way. It does not appear in the creature index published for the launch build as of September 17, 2026, and Helion and Lunara are now the only two Holy-element Basic Forms in it. Nothing official says Fennelun was cut; it was last documented during the 2026 closed beta period.

The Gap at 030

Before launch the index ran 001 to 093 with no entry at 013, a gap that invited guesswork because the sequence around it ran Iris at 011 and Irisal at 012, a two-stage evolution line. The launch rebuild settled it: 013 is now Skippy, and Irisalis has its own number at 10001. The rebuilt index runs 001 to 082 with a single gap at 030, and that one resolves too, to Somniwing, which is published only as a Prismana Form and so does not appear in the Basic Form roster.

Catching a Legendary

The launch build replaced the way Legendary Aniimo are obtained. The studio said the old approach was an entry fee plus repeated throws and pure luck, and that it did not fit the weight the encounter was meant to carry. Irisalis was rebuilt first, and the studio stated that the new structure is the template for every Legendary Aniimo encounter that follows.

The encounter is one-time. There is no repeat attempt, which is the design point: a Legendary is a story beat rather than a farm.

Irisalis and Windchaser's Departure

Irisalis became obtainable with Version 1.1 through a season called Legendary Journey: Windchaser's Departure. It runs from September 25, 2026 at 10:00 to December 10, 2026 at 07:59 (UTC+8); on the Europe server it ends at 23:59 UTC on December 9 and on the America server at 19:59 (UTC-4) the same day. Pathfinders need to have reached Student I to take part.

That follows the launch template of a personal, crafted Aniipod leading into the creature's own encounter, with Iris Petals as the crafting material named for this season. The update notice does not say how many petals each Aniipod needs or how many the weekly source gives.

Changes After the Season Opened

A resource update on September 30, 2026 raised the number of Transmogrification Presets for Irisalis from 3 to 5 and fixed a fault with its skill effects when it holds its exclusive Held Item, Floral Rainbow Feather.

On October 1, 2026 the developers announced that Irisalis's Innate Potential, random as of that post, will be set to fixed values after the version 1.1 update. They gave the reason that a Legendary can be obtained only once, so a random roll left its payoff unguaranteed. Any existing Potential above the fixed values is to be converted into Starcryst Essence, with the exact conversion rules and amounts to follow in the update announcement and in-game mail. As of October 13, 2026 the change had not been confirmed live.

The same post said Legendary Aniipods will become usable on Sparkling Aniimo that have already been caught, replacing the Aniipod the creature was caught with and granting that Legendary Aniipod's exclusive Sparkling effect; see Catching and Aniipods.

What Is Not Known

The announcements reviewed on September 27, 2026 did not state a drop rate, crafting count, or story length for the Irisalis encounter. They specified Student I as the rank opening the season. The gap in Lunara and Irisalis data closed at launch, when both gained index entries. Version 1.1 then set out how Irisalis is obtained. The opening story selection described below also provides an acquisition route for Lunara. Use the current event menu for crafting amounts and the creature interface for acquisition requirements.

Practical acquisition details

The opening story offers a choice between Helion and Lunara. Their empty habitat fields describe the public creature index; this starter selection is a separate acquisition route.

For the Irisalis journey, Irisalis Petals come from story rewards, first Alpha clears, Elite Pathfinder Challenges, local Silver Collection Badges, and Nurture Branch progress. Inspect the Legendary Journey menu for current crafting requirements and available exchanges.

Legendary appearance editing uses Radiant Dreamshadows for Transmogrification. Glimmering Driftshadows change selected body parts and do not add Transmog progress. The creature's interface shows which slots are available.

Appearance materials and unlocked slots

Open the creature's appearance or Transmogrification menu and inspect its unlocked parts. Glimmering Driftshadows change only certain body parts and give no Transmog progress. They cannot be used while appearance slots are locked. When the eligible material selection contains both types, available Glimmering Driftshadows are used before Radiant Dreamshadows. The shop and seasonal exchange confirmation show the offer that applies to the current character.

Irisalis appearance progression

Irisalis has five appearance categories: Color, Wings, Headwear, Body and Sparkling. Spending Radiant Dreamshadows advances the Transmog bar. The unlock milestones below are cumulative totals, not four separate prices to add together.

Up to three appearance slots can be locked during a reroll; the Sparkling slot cannot be locked. Unlock the categories you need before spending extra currency to preserve a combination. Once unlocked, roll without locks while seeking the desired base combination, then lock selected parts as needed.

The Irisalis appearance sets are Floral Glow, Shadowthorn Phantom, Starbloom Moonlight and Sunflare Rose, with 16 color variations for each look. The five saved Transmogrification Presets described above are separate from the five editable appearance categories.

Irisalis recipe and Petal planning

The Irisalis crafting sequence separates the device for its exclusive encounter from the seasonal catching device that opens afterward. Inspect the current Legendary Journey menu before spending Petals, since the device and seasonal allowance must match the selected event.

The seasonal device guarantees an eligible catch with Perfect Potential and its season-exclusive Sparkling effect. Its associated display background appears in Aniimo Management. The announced ability to replace an already caught Sparkling creature's device has its own update status; the recipe cost alone does not establish that update is live.

Breezy Mission Letter offer

The listed Breezy Mission Letter offer costs 428 Glimmer and permits 15 purchases per week. A letter provides one Irisalis Flower, worth 5 Irisalis Petals, and a random number of Legendary Chests. Check the selected offer and remaining count before buying.

The additional entries are alternatives; selection rules and drop odds are unconfirmed. Other Petal routes include story rewards, completed Journey chains, first Alpha clears, Elite Pathfinder Challenges, Silver Collection Badges, Prismana collection objectives and Nurture Branch milestones.
