Initial version (2026-05-18): Physis ranged Burst Divine Art applying Brittle, auto-equipped in Trial of Aether.
Leaf Blades is a Burst-slot Divine Arts technique aligned with the Elements Aspect Physis. It is the default Physis ranged Burst in Alabaster Dawn, and the primary in-build source of the Status Conditions Brittle effect.

Leaf Blades fires a single Slash-typed projectile at the targeted enemy. On hit, the projectile applies the Brittle Status Conditions effect, which makes the target vulnerable to all weapon hit types regardless of normal resistances. After the initial hit, multiple sharp leaves spawn around the target and rotate inward to slice it for follow-up damage. The full sequence resolves in a single 1-charge cast.
Boss single-target: the Brittle application turns hit-type-resistant bosses (any Nuemera with a Slash or Pierce resist) into damage sponges for follow-up sword or hammer combos.
Resistance check: facing an unfamiliar enemy and unsure what it resists, Leaf Blades' Brittle removes the resistance question for several seconds.
Burst window: stacks cleanly with finisher attacks from Combat System stagger breaks for damage spikes.
Brittle is one of the named Status Conditions of the launch build. While active, the target loses every hit-type resistance: all weapon hits land at full damage regardless of whether the weapon is Slashing, Piercing, or Blunt. The condition expires after a few seconds; coordinated burst damage during that window is the optimal use.
Leaf Blades shares the Burst slot with Bramble Quake. Players running a single-target build typically equip Leaf Blades to set Brittle and then dump charges into weapon finishers; players running crowd control prefer Bramble Quake. Both share the 1-charge cost and the same auto-equip moment in the trial.
Leaf Blades is the in-build source of Brittle. The other documented Aether-themed condition (Drained Aether) is not yet fully described in the launch build.
The rotating-leaves visual is the same shape regardless of target size, so the secondary slices land more reliably on large enemies like Inferna Vespa and Testudo.
