Created a boss page for Custo Turri Magnus covering its three phases, the barrier wall trick, the root and post mechanic, and its reward
Custo Turri Magnus is a boss-scale Nuemera fought in Patron’s Grave, north of Lyhamn, during the Blooming Villain subquest of Unyielding Solidarity. It is a massively enlarged version of the regular Custo Turri, the armoured flower whose petals fold around it like a shield, and it guards the barrier that separates the Eye of Remis from Forked Road. Clearing it opens that connection and is one of the gates on the Koro Valley settlement rebuild.

The fight opens with two attacks. Ground spikes track the player across the arena, and the boss fires a heavy projectile that can be parried. Parrying that projectile staggers it and is the main damage window, exactly as with the regular Custo Turri.
The complication is that standing still to line up the parry is punished. As the projectile winds up, a barrier wall spawns on the spot the player is occupying and shields the boss behind it. The counter is simply to keep moving: a small sidestep during the wind-up puts the wall somewhere harmless and leaves a clean line back to the boss.
The boss wraps itself in trees and summons a ring of roots, described as four in the guides that count them. The barrier holds until those roots are destroyed, so phase two is a target-priority problem rather than a parry problem. Ground spikes also change shape here, forming a ring around the player before the projectile fires rather than tracking along the floor.
Attack density rises across the board. Spike volume increases, and the boss adds airborne shots on top of the ground pattern. One guide reports the root count rising to six in this phase; that figure is single-sourced and is not corroborated elsewhere, so treat the exact number as unconfirmed even though the mechanic itself is agreed on.
Never stand still through a wind-up. The barrier wall spawns where you are, not where the boss aims. Moving one step during the telegraph is the whole trick.
Parry rather than grind. Petal armour resists ordinary damage the same way the regular Custo Turri’s does. Reflected projectiles are worth far more than chip damage.
Clear roots before damage. While the roots stand the barrier absorbs everything, so time spent attacking the body in phase two is wasted.
Pierce beats the petals. As with the standard form, Bogha Solas handles the shielded state better than blunt or slashing hits.
