Bogha Solas, the Divine Crossbow of Vasia, is one of the four obtainable Divine weapons in Alabaster Dawn's launch build. It is a ranged weapon dealing Piercing damage, with small fast projectiles that travel in a straight line. Bogha Solas is Juno's default ranged option for the entire early game.
Bogha Solas, Divine Crossbow of Vasia.
This bow sure gets the point across.
"A bow to pierce truth and pave the way to progress."
Bogha Solas is acquired very early in Chapter 1, in the Koro Valley - Median Divide map. Cabbage hands it to Juno because she needs a way to hit a high-up switch that her sword cannot reach. The pickup doubles as the game's introduction to ranged-only puzzle mechanics.
The basic crossbow attack is a small fast projectile that travels in a straight line until it hits something. Aiming with the right input slows time slightly to make precise shots easier, and shots fired from a jump retain that slow-time aiming window.
Seven Combat Arts are unlockable in the Growth Chart, each costing one Growth Point. Bogha Solas has more Combat Arts than any other launch-build weapon, reflecting its role as a flexible ranged tool that can be specialized in several different directions.
Keep aiming to prepare a Charged Shot. The next shot fires a beam of light that pierces every enemy in its path. The skill also extends to a Perfect Charge variant: timing the shot release with the very end of the charge bar produces a more powerful hit (+25% damage), accompanied by a brief shadowy effect around Juno and the projectile.
Press attack and shoot together (or auto shoot) without aiming after a successful parry to perform an Auto Shot, firing six homing piercing arrows at the parried target. The Auto Shot can also be triggered by pressing auto shoot while aiming. Most useful in crowd fights, where the homing arrows efficiently clear weaker enemies around the parried target. The arrows do require enough knockback to curve cleanly; if a parry doesn't push the target back, the arrows may miss.
Press attack and shoot together to perform an Auto Shot that quickly fires two arrows at a target in sight. Twin Fangs is the entry point for two combo extensions, Rushing Tusk and Diving Swarm, and it can also target destructible objects and switches in the environment.
Press and hold attack and shoot to prepare a charged Auto Shot. Release for a volley of five homing, piercing arrows. Excellent for quickly building break meter on a single target.
Press attack and shoot after Twin Fangs to fire a single charged arrow at a target in sight. The arrow has high damage and high break damage, and it serves as a strong combo finisher that mixes naturally into Bogha Solas's quick-shot rhythm.
Press and hold attack and shoot after Twin Fangs to launch four arrows into the sky that rain down on the last target hit after a brief delay. Useful for hitting behind directional shields. If Twin Fangs misses, the rain arrows from Diving Swarm also miss, likely to prevent abuse on unreachable switches.
Hold attack and shoot after a Back Step to prepare a Charged Auto Shot. Release to jump backward and fire up to four arrows at targets in sight. The added jump greatly extends the back step's distance, making this skill double as a defensive escape and a counterattack from outside melee range.
One Minor Gem Slot node is available, costing one Growth Point. Like the other launch-build weapons, the slot is not yet useful because no minor weapon gems are obtainable in the current build. The Perfect Charge node is paired with Hunter's Spike (see above) and triggers automatically on well-timed charged shots.
