11A party is AION 2's basic group, and a force (포스) is the larger formation that links several parties for big PvE and PvP content. On the Korean service a party holds up to five players and a force joins up to four parties, twenty players in all, since the Chapter 1 update of July 1, 2026; before that a party held four. The global build also uses five-player parties: NCsoft's launch maintenance notes adjusted some boss stats because they were too low for the intended difficulty of a five-player party. The rest of this page follows the official guidebook for the Korean service (party page updated September 14, 2026) and the Korean update notes.2233Forming a Group4455Click the person icon at the top left of the main screen to create a party or force, or join one that already exists. A character can belong to only one party at a time. Since March 4, 2026 chat commands also work: typing a slash command creates a party or force, invites, converts a party to a force, leaves, kicks or hands over leadership. The same patch added a recruitment link: the party or force settings window generates an invite link in chat that anyone can click to join without approval. Since March 18, 2026 a player who was kicked cannot rejoin through the link.667+78SettingOptionsTypeParty or forceLoot methodSequential or Random (since December 10, 2025, when the older Free and Leader options were folded into these two). New parties, forces and dungeons default to Random since June 10, 2026.Distribution ruleHow items of Rare grade and above are shared. Since November 26, 2025 high-grade items are distributed only by dice roll, and since December 10, 2025 your own roll is shown in chat. You can only roll within distribution range; if nobody in range takes it, the item goes to a random party or force member on the same map. Sanctuaries have no range limit.89Party members are always friendly to each other and can always see each other on the map, except in a few areas that hide positions. The party panel shows each member's HP, MP, level and class, has voice chat microphone and speaker switches, and lists open slots that you click to invite. Force members appear on the world map with their portrait and level (December 2025), the map distinguishes members on your server from those on another server, and it shows when a force member is inside a dungeon.9101011Forces11121213A force is a convenience layer for large-scale PvE and PvP: several parties bound together, up to four parties and twenty players. Ordinary content such as most dungeons cannot be entered as a force; Sanctuary Raids are the exception, taking ten players since July 1, 2026 (eight before). A force has a leader and a deputy; marker permissions were extended to the deputy on December 10, 2025, and a force alert message that stands out on screen uses the /a chat command (December 3, 2025). Since September 23, 2026 force members can be moved between the force's parties inside a dungeon, except during a boss fight, and the leader's slot does not move; when the leader leaves or hands over, the new leader is placed first in the first party (September 16, 2026).131415+1416Loot and Rewards in a Group15171618Rewards inside a party's reward range are split evenly regardless of each member's damage contribution (November 22, 2025).Who shares a drop is fixed at the moment the monster dies: players who join or leave afterwards are not included (April 22, 2026). Members who are dead still receive items under the loot method (January 14, 2026).If a player under the daily Kina limit joins a party in the open field, the whole party stops receiving items and Kina from normal monsters (February 11, 2026). A player under an item drop restriction cannot loot or receive distributed items, although the drops themselves still appear (December 24, 2025).If a party or force member within a certain range has PvP mode switched on, every member in that range is forced into PvP mode for ten minutes (January 14, 2026).17191820Markers19212022Markers (징표) tag a player or monster so the group can spot it quickly. Select the target and click the marker icon in its information bar, or press a number key on the numpad. Seven new markers were added on May 13, 2026 (numbers 5 to 9, 0 and a moon). Marker shortcuts can be changed under Settings, Key Settings, Markers. Since September 9, 2026 the World Marker places a marker on the ground in the open world, Expeditions, Transcendence, Sanctuaries and the Abyss, through a button beside the minimap or a menu shortcut, so you can show your group a position.212324+2225Dungeon Rooms23262427Instanced content is organised through waiting rooms in the Expedition, Transcendence and Sanctuary entry screens; NCsoft's global notices also state that all instanced content, dungeons included, is cross-server. Since March 11, 2026 those three dungeon types are also cross-faction: Elyos and Asmodians can share a party and use party, force and dungeon chat together. Since March 18 a room creator chooses whether the room is open to every faction or only to their own, and that setting cannot be changed afterwards.25282629FeatureKorean service detailInvitesInvite legion members, friends or recent party members into Expedition, Transcendence and Sanctuary rooms (December 17, 2025); invited players fill empty slots in order (December 24, 2025)RetryAfter a clear the leader can request a retry; members who accept are moved together into a new room with the same name (January 21, 2026), keeping their former positions (February 4, 2026)ReconnectA player who reconnects within ten minutes can rejoin the room their party is in without spending an entry (January 28, 2026)BumpA room leader can push the room back to the top of the list after a cooldown (March 18, 2026); not for private rooms (April 1, 2026)Room detailsClicking a room in the Expedition or Transcendence list shows its members' details (July 29, 2026); room names allow 32 characters (May 27, 2026)Room informationThe Sanctuary waiting room's party information pop-up shows each member's combat power and, since May 13, 2026, how many Resurrection Spiritstones they hold; Sanctuary and Transcendence rooms and dungeon panels show the difficulty since September 23, 20262730Kicks and Kick Votes28312932Once at least one boss in an Expedition, Transcendence or Sanctuary run has been killed, members cannot be kicked directly, and during a boss fight nobody can be kicked, change distribution settings, leave or exit the dungeon.Since May 27, 2026, in a run where direct kicks are locked, a group of three or more gets a kick vote instead. The party leader, force leader or force deputy names the target and a reason; a party needs a unanimous vote and a force a majority. The kicked player is moved out of the dungeon at once.A player kicked by a party or force leader cannot join dungeons that leader creates (May 13, 2026).In Transcendence, if a party's line-up changes after entering the dungeon, the run earns no ranking points (May 13, 2026).30333134Force Kisk32353336The Kisk Summoning Stone: Force (Bound) sells at general goods merchants and the Wind Breeze Merchants since February 11, 2026. Only force members can register at a Force Kisk; it holds 16 players, allows up to 48 resurrections and lasts one hour. Death and Resurrection covers Kisks in general, and Spacetime Rift: Domination has its own larger Kisk.34373538Related Pages36393740Friends and Chat · Legions · Expedition Dungeons · Sanctuary Raids · Transcendence System · Server Matching
