Initial version (2026-10-06)
Iscariel (이스카리엘) is the first boss of Chalice of Muspel, the Sanctuary raid that opened on the Korean and Taiwanese service on May 27, 2026, and the gatekeeper in front of Scourge Kaldrix. The English name is the game client's English data. NCsoft has not announced the raid for the global service as of October 7, 2026.
The Korean patch notes name Iscariel's main patterns; the health thresholds and how each pattern is handled come from a single Korean strategy guide:
Pattern | How it works |
|---|---|
Judgement of Two Colours (이색의 심판) | At 75% health the parties take colours separately, break two orbs to spread and then gather on the orb of their party's colour; weapons on the floor project safe zones |
Harsh Judgement of Two Colours (가혹한 이색의 심판) | At 50% players spread to four orbs by colour, usually in pairs |
Desperate Guard (결사의 수호) | At 70% and 30% orbs gather around Iscariel; players carry colours in while avoiding black holes and then turn a straight laser onto the boss. Iscariel is shielded and the phase ends in a raid-wide instant-death attack, and portals summoned during it fire at players |
Lasers | Lasers fire from Iscariel's orbs between every large pattern, often straight after a whirlwind |
Teleport | Iscariel teleports and creates zones that are answered with blocks, two of them below 50% |
The guide splits the force so that one party covers the left and red and the other the right and green. Below 30% cross, circle and spread zones join the usual patterns.
Date (KR/TW) | Change |
|---|---|
June 4, 2026 | Instant death no longer applied when weapon safe zones did not overlap; Desperate Guard's instant death can no longer be dodged with Evasion Stance; portals no longer target Spiritmaster spirits |
June 17, 2026 | Desperate Guard's shield no longer starts with reduced health |
July 1, 2026 | Iscariel's burn status ends when it dies |
July 15, 2026 | Portals target players reliably; Judgement of Two Colours fires before Desperate Guard when health drops quickly |
September 23, 2026 | Players can no longer glide below the arena to escape the Desperate Guard wipe |
