11 The Guard (가더) is the off-hand item of AION 2. Unlike main weapons it has no class restriction in the official item database, so every class equips one, and Guards come as a pair with weapons through most of the game: Sanctuary rewards, Draconic crafting recipes and the Abyss shop all offer a weapon and a Guard of the same family. A Guard adds Attack, Accuracy and Critical Hit rather than a weapon damage range, rolls its own Soul Inscription options and has the same manastone and Theostone slots as a weapon of its grade. Stats and item levels below come from the Korean service's official item database, checked on October 7, 2026.

99 Where two names appear, the first is the Elyos version and the second the Asmodian version; the two share stats. The global client has an English name only for the Ludra pieces; NCsoft's English announcements have used Genesis and Nemesis Dragon Lord, Lava Heart and Archon Praetorian Captain. Every other English name in this table is a provisional plain rendering, given with the Korean name.

Lower items roll the same options with smaller values. Up to 6 of the rolls can instead be skill effects, each raising one skill of the wearer's class by a level.

That data holds the Unique Draconic lines up to the Splendent Wise and Ebony Dragon Lord pieces and the Ludra Hero pieces, but none of the later Korean lines, so the global service starts lower on this ladder. As of October 7, 2026, NCsoft had not published a global equipment schedule.

26+In the global client data a Guard's skill effects come from the class's active skills, the same pool as the main weapon. Global Guards also follow the global item levels and stage caps of the weapons: the True Dragon Lord Guard (item level 62) and the Bakarma Guard (54) have one breakthrough stage, the Vakron Guard (70) has three, and the Nuakum Guard (86) and Ludra's Heart (102) have five; see Weapons for the full global ladder.
