11Duty quests (사명 in Korean) are AION 2's repeatable missions, the daily and weekly work that pays special rewards outside the story. They are taken in two ways: from the Duty tab of the Journal, and from Duty Scroll items. The game data labels the two kinds Duty Mission (206 entries) and Duty Scroll (577 entries) across both factions.2233On the global service Duties open at level 45: NCsoft's global notices describe the Journal's Duty tab becoming available when a character reaches that level.4455Kinds of Duty6677KindHow you get itNotesDuty Mission (임무)Offered in the Journal's Duty tabCan be refreshed for a different mission. At launch, when only five duties could be held at once, player guides warned that a hard one, such as a field boss kill or a high-grade Abyss directive, could sit unfinished and block the next day's missions, since missions and scrolls count against the same limit. On December 17, 2025 NCsoft changed some Verteron and Altgard Duty Scrolls that asked for field boss kills into ordinary monster kills and collection, and the limit has since been raised.991010Limits and Refreshes11111212RuleOn the Korean and Taiwanese serviceDuties in progress at once5 at launch (official guidebook); raised to 10 on January 21, 2026 and to 20 on April 1, 2026RefreshReplaces a mission with a new one. Launch-era player reports listed rewards such as Odyle Energy, challenge tickets, Enhancement Stones, Abyss Points and Key: Hidden Cube; the challenge tickets and Small Odyle Energy were removed from duty rewards on April 8, 2026 (see the table below). Player guides rank the key among the most valuable duty rewards because Hidden Cubes opened with it pay out the rarer items.161617-Date (Korean service)Change to duty rewardsNovember 22, 2025Abyss Points added to duty and directive rewardsDecember 3, 2025Fixed Asmodian duty and directive rewards that were set to the other faction's itemsFebruary 4, 2026Intellect, Wild, Nature and Transformed Special Soul Crystals addedMarch 25, 2026Lower chance of Key: Hidden Cube appearing among mission and scroll rewardsApril 8, 2026Duty Scroll rewards other than equipment doubled.
