Removed repeated body wikilinks, keeping the first occurrence of each target
11The Storm Bringer is the Legion of Truth area damage caster, a Tier 3 infantry unit that turns its own attacks into spell fuel. Blightstorm deals 4 damage on a 0.4 second cycle at range 12, which is a modest 10 damage a second, and attacking is what fills the 100 point energy pool that pays for Tempest: a storm at a target location dealing 40 damage a second for five seconds. It is one of four units the studio named on its own faction page.2233Figures below describe the September 2026 Early Access build, the one carrying the identifier ZS.c36778, and they move with the weekly patch cadence. Roughly half the versus roster had a stat touched in the fortnight before that build was captured, so treat every number here as dated rather than permanent.4455Stat Block6677StatValueCost50 hexite and 125 fluxHealth150Shields0Armor0Armor typeLightStatus resistNone listedMove speed450Vision16Supply4Build time48 secondsTier3DomainGround unitEnergy100 maximum, starting at 0HotkeyYInfuse cost10.3125Reanimate cost10.3125Replicate cost10.3125Built byLegion BarracksUnlocked byTerror TowerResearched atNot applicable, the unit has no upgrades88Weapons991010WeaponDamageDPSRangeCooldownTargetsBonusesBlightstorm410120.4sGround and airNone1111Abilities12121313AbilityCostChargesEffectTempest50 energy2Casts a storm at a target location dealing 40 damage a second to enemies in the area, lasting five seconds, for 200 damage total to anything that stays in it.1414The energy economy has one field the source does not publish: how much energy an attack actually generates. The record states that attacking generates energy, gives the pool as 100 with a starting value of 0, and prices Tempest at 50, but the gain per attack is absent. Without it there is no way to state how long a Storm Bringer must fire before its first cast, so this page does not.15151616The Idal Conduit, the Legion supply structure, carries an Energy Restoration spell that restores 10 energy to a target, which is the published way to speed that up.17171818Upgrades19192020None. The record lists no upgrades for this unit, which makes it unusual among Legion army units: the Thrall, Steelsworn, Exalted, Dark Disciple and Mammoth all have at least one.21212222Conversion Costs23232424Reanimate is the Legion conversion mechanic, paid out of the same top bar power pool as the Grell Infuse and the Xol Replicate. While the unit lives it attacks and moves 30% faster. When it dies it gets back up, 30% slower than the original, and keeps fighting.25252626The Storm Bringer is eligible for all three conversions at an identical 10.3125 power each, the most expensive conversion among the Legion infantry. What that buys is worth noting: a reanimated Storm Bringer attacks 30% slower, and since attacking is how the unit earns energy, the second life fills its Tempest bar more slowly too.27272828Role29293030Everything about the unit points at packed enemy armies. Tempest at 40 damage a second over five seconds is 200 damage to anything that stands in it, and with two charges a single Storm Bringer can put that down twice before it runs dry. Against a Thrall batch at 70 health each, or any Light armoured line, that is a fight decided by positioning rather than by damage per second.31313232The base weapon is not the point, but it is not nothing either. Ten damage a second at range 12 against both ground and air on a 0.4 second cycle is the fastest attack cycle in the Legion roster, which suits a unit that needs attacks rather than damage.33333434The cost of all this is the most fragile Tier 3 body in the faction. One hundred and fifty health behind Light armour with no armour value, at 450 move speed and 4 supply, means a Storm Bringer that gets focused dies before its second cast.35353636Faction Context37373838The Storm Bringer does not carry the data tag that marks Legion thrall bodies, so unlike the Thrall, the Steelsworn and the Dark Disciple it cannot be sacrificed at a Ritual Site to empower the Emperor Projection. For a faction built on spending its own troops, that puts the Storm Bringer in the small group that is meant to be kept alive.39394040Mounted on a Mammoth it does the same job a Dark Disciple rider does, making the beast trample nearby enemies while moving and granting it the speed bonus. It does not enable the Mammoth Storm spell, which the record ties specifically to a Dark Disciple rider.41414242On August 19, 2026 the Storm Bringer was one of twenty two units and structures moved onto the newer animation system, alongside the Exalted and the Dark Disciple.43434444Tier and Armour Interactions45454646Light armour and an armour value of 0 on a Tier 3 unit is a deliberate trade rather than an oversight: the faction is paying 125 flux for the spell, not for the body. Armor is also a number held separately from the type. It subtracts flat damage from every hit with a floor of 1 damage, so it blunts fast weak attacks far more than single heavy ones. A Storm Bringer has none of it.47474848Its own damage keys off nothing. Blightstorm carries no armour bonus, and Tempest is published as flat damage per second with no armour interaction stated, so the unit performs the same against Light, Medium, Heavy, Building, Hero and None.49495050Counters51515252Strong Against53535454TargetWhyPacked low health armiesTwo hundred damage over five seconds across an area, twice per full energy bar.Static positionsTempest is placed at a location, so anything that has to hold ground takes all of it.Air and ground alikeBlightstorm targets both domains and Tempest is placed rather than aimed.5555Weak To56565757ThreatWhyAnything that reaches it150 health, Light armour, no armour value, 450 move speed.Being engaged before it has energyThe pool starts at 0 and the unit has to attack to fill it.Spread out armiesTempest rewards clumping and does very little against a scattered force.5858Balance History59596060DateChangeAugust 19, 2026Moved onto the newer animation system as part of a performance pass, with no stat effect.August 28, 2026The Galactic War commander Galavax gained a twelfth level, and level 11 now makes Storm Bringers and Dark Disciples cheaper. This is a commander progression change rather than a versus balance change.September 1, 2026The mounted movement speed bonus a Storm Bringer grants a Mammoth was reduced from 125 to 50.6161Notes62626363The roster record for this unit is COMPLETE for its stat block. The energy gained per attack is not published, which is the one number a player would want in order to plan around Tempest.64646565The studio patch posts write the name as one word, Stormbringer. The entity record and the official faction page both write it as two, Storm Bringer, which is the spelling used here.66666767Per unit numbers are drawn from a community maintained entity catalogue that the studio links from each of its own faction pages. It is the only place the full stat block is published, and it is not a studio document, so the figures are best read as careful community documentation of a build rather than as an official specification. Dated balance notes, by contrast, come straight from the studio patch posts.
