The Stalwart Greatsword is an A-tier two-handed greatsword in Windrose, dealing 330 Slash damage per swing with a +1 Posture Point bonus and +30% Critical Damage. The +1 Posture Point bonus is uniquely valuable: it gives the player an extra poise shield, meaning enemies need to break one additional poise stack before staggering you. Combined with the +30% Critical Damage, the Stalwart Greatsword is one of the strongest endgame greatsword choices for tank-DPS hybrid builds.

Posture Point Mechanic

The +1 Posture Point bonus is the Stalwart Greatsword's standout feature. In Windrose's poise system, both the player and enemies have poise shields (typically 2-3). Each successful enemy attack that hits you depletes one of your poise shields; when all are depleted, you become Winded and vulnerable. The Stalwart Greatsword adds one extra poise shield, giving you a buffer against multi-hit combos that would otherwise stagger you.

Combined with Conquistador's Armor (4-piece Bulwark, uninterruptible first hits) or Pikeman's Armor (+160 max HP), the Stalwart Greatsword build can absorb significantly more punishment than any standard greatsword build.
