Spyglass is a miscellaneous decoration in Windrose. It is a small telescope ornament placed on shelves, tables, or desks to dress a captain's quarters, and it adds a point toward the camp Comfort rating while it sits inside Bonfire range.

They say a good captain spots the storm before the winds dare to shift.

Works only within the Bonfire range. Outside that radius it loses its comfort contribution and is treated as inert decoration.

Comfort +1 Comfort bonuses in this category do not stack.

Function

The Spyglass belongs to the Miscellaneous comfort group, the same bucket that holds other small ornamental props. Its only mechanical effect is a +1 Comfort bonus toward the settlement comfort total tracked by the Comfort System. Because that bonus does not stack, placing several Spyglasses in the same base still yields only the single Miscellaneous point, so one is enough for the comfort gain.

With 3,000 max health it is as durable as most heavy decorations, so it survives stray hits during a raid or an explosive mishap better than lighter props.

Placement Tips

• Keep the Spyglass inside Bonfire range so its Comfort point counts; props placed beyond the fire's glow do not contribute.

• Only one Miscellaneous decoration's bonus applies at a time, so pair the Spyglass with decorations from other comfort groups rather than duplicating it.

• It costs only Wood and a single Copper Ingot, making it one of the cheapest ways to fill the Miscellaneous comfort slot early on.
