Spanish Gold is a hull paint, one of the cosmetic ship colors in Windrose. It changes only the painted appearance of a ship's hull and has no effect on speed, cargo, armor, or any combat statistic. Paint is applied through the Shipwright infrastructure: dock the vessel at a player-built Wharf, open the Manage Ship menu, and switch to the Customization tab. Select the hull slot, then pick Spanish Gold from the list of unlocked colors.
Once the design is unlocked it stays unlocked for your character. You can repaint it onto any ship you own, swapping freely between unlocked colors, and repainting an already-owned color costs no Guinea. This makes hull paint a one-time unlock rather than a consumable, so there is no penalty to switching looks between voyages.

Bring the ship to a Shipwright-built Wharf, open the customization menu, and select the matching hull slot. Spanish Gold appears in the option list once the unlock condition (Style Book or stock availability) is met.
