Small Shelf is a basic plank Shelves decoration in Windrose, crudely nailed together for storing food and rum. It is the cheapest shelf to unlock and a natural first storage-styled piece for an early shelter.

Like every decoration, it only counts while it sits inside the lit radius of a fueled Bonfire. Pieces placed outside that range give no bonus and decay over time, so keep furniture grouped near the fire. Each piece adds +1 to the Shelf bucket of the Comfort System, but the bonus from this category does not stack: a second shelf in the same shelter adds nothing. To raise overall Comfort, mix in pieces from other categories rather than duplicating one type.
Shelves come in plain and decorative tiers; the +1 Shelf bonus is identical, while costlier shelves use Hardwood instead of Plant Fiber for a more refined look:
