Shrub is a ground-plantable bush in Windrose. Planting a Shrub Sapling consumes one Shrub Seeds and yields Plant Fiber plus a replacement seed at every harvest. Shrubs do not require a Seedbed; they can be planted on any open ground tile within a settlement or around its perimeter.
Because Shrubs are the only farmable source of Plant Fiber and only use one seed per plant, they are the cheapest way to offset the Plant Fiber cost of bulk Rope crafting once a small cluster has been established. Wild Shrubs spawn across Coastal Jungle scrub and can be the initial seed source.
Shrub Sapling is the plantable form of Shrub. It grows on the open ground rather than in a Seedbed for Plants, so it does not compete with Seedbed slots at a base. It matures in 1h 10m of real-time growth, then yields the outputs listed in the harvest table below. Replanting is self-sustaining: every harvest refunds at least one seed.

Shrub Saplings are Tier 1 (starter) and available from first exploration of the Coastal Jungle; no station prerequisite exists beyond acquiring the seed.
Plant Fiber from Shrubs stacks with Plant Fiber harvested from wild grass tufts, so a planted Shrub grove simply raises the passive income of an existing fiber economy.
