A sturdy wooden support that holds the pier firm even in a powerful storm.
Category: Pillars and Beams - Pillars
The Pier Pile is the structural support piece used to extend a Pier out over water. To build a dock by hand you drive a pile, snap a floor tile onto it, place another pile off the edge of that floor, snap another floor, and repeat the pattern until the walkway reaches water deep enough to launch and dock a ship. It belongs to the Pillars and Beams group of building pieces.

Each pile is built from Wood x2, making a long pier cheap in materials but slow to lay piece by piece. Extending a dock this way is the most tedious part of pier construction, so once it is unlocked the Large Pier blueprint is the faster option, collapsing the whole pile and floor sequence into a single placement. Finish a hand built pier with Pier Stairs down to the waterline and dockyard decorations such as the Pier Crane and Pier Winch.
